Bears-Chargers First Touchdown Bets for Week 8 Sunday Night Football (Oct. 29)

It’s certainly not the most appealing matchup on the schedule, but with these two defenses in tonight’s game, there is one thing we know for certain: Someone is going to score — Probably often. Our job here is to provide the first touchdown scorer of a Bears-Chargers game that should feature some offense, especially aiding a Bears team down its starting quarterback. There is no Justin Fields, but there is a Justin Herbert, and even Chicago’s offense looked alive and kicking behind Tyson Bagent. Here is the best first touchdown prop for Sunday Night Football between the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Chargers.

Bears-Chargers SNF First Touchdown Prop Bet | October 29

After a slow start, the Bears have found consistent play in the ground game, and that’s the best place to attack. Not having Fields may hurt the Bears overall in terms of extending drives, but Bagent looked good enough last week to expose this horrific Chargers defense. Expect some methodical passes that rely heavily on big gains on the ground. Bagent and the Bears are better off peppering quick-hit passes, including to the running backs. The Chargers have the second-worst-rated defense in the NFL and have only outgained two opponents this year; it’s best for Chicago to be aggressive right out of the gate and force the Chargers to make some adjustments.

The first touchdown will come on the heels or hands of D’Onta Foreman, who has established himself as a lead back over the past two weeks. Foreman comes off a 16-carry, 89-yard, two-touchdown performance. There’s nothing in the playbook that should move away from Foreman and also allow the Chargers defense to shut him down.

OddsShopper found a fantastic price for Foreman at BetMGM at +1500, which is nearly 500 points above the true market value. Take Foreman to cross the end zone first in tonight’s battle out west. The Chargers might even lose this game outright, it’s so bad.

Bears-Chargers First Touchdown Scorer Bet: D’Onta Foreman +1500 (BetMGM, 0.25 Units)
