Bengals-Chiefs Weather Report: Cold Temperatures Expected at Arrowhead Stadium

Per the Weather Channel, it’s going to be cold in Kansas City on Sunday night, but not unbearable. The current forecast calls for a high of 23 degrees on Sunday night with a low of 11 degrees. Winds will be ranging from 10-15 MPH. It is expected to be cloudy with a 24% chance of precipitation.

The weather shouldn’t affect the game all too much, but it could make it even harder for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to move around on an injured right ankle. Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain in the 27-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, and although he was seen limping throughout the second half, there is optimism that the injury will progress well throughout the week.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow proved that poor weather will not bother him. He completed 23 of 36 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns in a dominant win over the Buffalo Bills at a snowy Highmark Stadium last weekend.

“I don’t know,” Higgins said when asked how Burrow pulled off the cold heroics, per SI. “I was shocked at what he was doing. He threw that Hail Mary so far. I’m like, bro, but man, it’s good to have a quarterback that can come out in the snow and sling it. I’m proud of him. I’m proud of the way he played, but I’m gonna give credit to the run game to our O-Line tonight. They played a hell of a game.”

The Bengals-Chiefs weather report may not raise too many red flags, but the betting line has still been moving steadily since opening on Sunday night. The Chiefs initially opened as a slight favorite, but now the Bengals have taken over as a 1.5-point favorite (per DraftKings). The over/under total has also come down from 48.5 to 46.5 as of Tuesday night.
