It’s been BRUTAL for the Bengals offense with Jake Browning under center. So this first leg of the parlay is a play on Browning being like … half bad? Not like, full bad.
We’re going to rock with the Joe Mixon over 2.5 receptions tonight against the Jaguars on Monday Night Football.
Browning hasn’t been able to complete many passes downfield, so he’s likely going to be looking to Mixon as the easy checkdown guy more than a few times today.
The Jags also give up the most receptions per game to opposing running backs. The OddsShopper Prop Tool has a 60% expected win rate on the over 2.5 for Mixon receptions as well.
Calvin Ridley 50+ Receiving Yards (MNF Player Prop)
Calvin Ridley has looked like THAT DUDE the last two games. It also looks like he was betting all of his OVERS.
He’s earned 15 targets over the last two weeks and racked up 192 yards on those 15 catches.
It also seems like the Jags might be taking more deep shots to Ridley the past two weeks as well. In the last two games, he’s had long receptions of 45 and 34 yards, so we have the capability of getting almost all the way there on one reception, and we LOVE that when it comes to hitting a number like 50-plus receiving yards.
Christian Kirk 3+ Receptions (MNF Player Prop)
The last time Christian Kirk failed to record at least three receptions was all the way back in Week 1 against the Colts.
Hands down, he’s been the most consistent receiving option on the Jaguars roster. Trevor Lawrence has looked his way early and often, and he’s seen five or more targets in every game since Week 1.
This one should be a shoo-in for us.
Travis Etienne Jr. 50+ Rushing Yards (MNF Player Prop)
He’s entering with a questionable tag, but Travis Etienne Jr. should be a go tonight. Will he get the full workload he’s been getting of late? That’s the real question.
We’re going to somewhat middle that here today. I’d assume he gets about 75% of his normal workload, which should be more than enough to get the 50 rushing yards we’re looking for.
The Bengals are allowing almost 98 yards per game to opposing running backs, and Etienne has punished mediocre and bad run defenses this season.
Etienne has five runs of 20 or more yards this season, so he could get us a big chunk of the way there on one attempt. So even if he gets a max of 15 carries, he should be able to get us over the 50-yard hump.
Jaguars First Half Moneyline (MNF Pick)
We’re not going to get too wild here with the final two legs of this Jaguars-Bengals parlay. We’re taking the Jaguars first half moneyline.
Look, the Bengals have Browning under center, and the Jags offense has been SLAPPING the last two weeks. The Bengals defense doesn’t really give me much concern, and the Jaguars should be taking a lead into halftime here.
Jaguars -6.5 Alternate Spread (MNF Pick)
The actual point spread in this game is sitting at Jaguars -10.
As we know, Monday Night Football can get weird, but the Jaguars should be able to at least win this game by a touchdown.
It’s more of a play against the Bengals offense than anything else because I’m not sure they’re even capable of reaching their implied team total of 15.
We move the line down to 6.5 and count our cash after binking this parlay.
