Bengals-Ravens First Touchdown Picks: Thursday Night Football Is Joe Mixon Time (Nov. 16)

Cash another first touchdown ticket on Monday night, as we hit Courtland Sutton to open the game. Thursday presents some valuable spots to attack for a first touchdown prop in what should be an electric game between the Bengals and Ravens. Baltimore comes off an improbable loss where they led all but the final few seconds against Cleveland. Cincinnati is hungry to bounce back from a home loss to the upstart Texans. Neither team can truly afford a loss, as the AFC North continues to be the toughest division in the NFL. Let’s keep the early score momentum rolling — here are the best Bengal-Ravens first touchdown picks for Thursday Night Football.

Bengals-Ravens First Touchdown Bet | Week 11 TNF

Cincinnati Bengals Touchdown Scorer

Joe Burrow looks healthy and has two of his top three receivers ready to go. Joe Mixon is centering the offense with balance in the run and pass game despite last week’s disappointment. Mixon remains the key in allowing Burrow and the pass game to stretch.

The Bengals will take a shot or two on their first possession, but most of their movement will be around Mixon. Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd are both good options, as their odds are below Mixon and two Ravens players, but Baltimore will not be as fortunate as the Texans in slowing down the Bengals feature back. The Ravens will put a heavy focus on eliminating Chase from the game plan, allowing a healthy amount of Mixon early in this game.

It’s worth the price of Bengals chalk, as Mixon is capable of scoring anywhere within the 50 but will be a primary focus still on the goal line.

Baltimore Ravens First Touchdown Scorer

Go with what you know. For a lot of people betting this matchup — and prop — that means pound the run game. Gus Edwards and Lamar Jackson should certainly find some holes within Cincinnati’s run defense, but getting to the end zone first is reserved for a pass catcher — not a receiver, rather a pass catcher. The reality heading into TNF is that nobody on the Bengals is fully equipped to slow down Mark Andrews. Still one of the game’s best tight ends, Andrews should find plenty of chances within that Bengals’ middle and deep-middle areas of the field. Andrews leads the Ravens in basically every receiving category that matters and should be heavily targeted right away against one of the worst pass defenses in the league.

The added part is injury on both sides. The Bengals are thin in their defensive front, while Baltimore is missing Ronnie Staley — forcing the offense to throw a little quicker.
