Best Bengals-Chiefs Player Prop | Tyler Boyd

Tyler Boyd O/U 3.5 Receptions

The Cincinnati Bengals may struggle to keep Joe Burrow upright. A look at Cincinnati’s starting offensive line doesn’t inspire much confidence — they’ll have to start numerous players with below-average PFF grades. Although the Bengals were able to protect burrow against the Chiefs in the regular season, they kept defensive tackle Chris Jones in check by double-teaming him with guard Alex Cappa and center Ted Karras. Kappa is now out, along with both of Cincinnati’s starting tackles.

But Burrow and head coach Zac Taylor know this. They’ll look to design plays that allow Burrow to run through his progressions and quickly get rid of the football. That could mean an uptick in targets for slot receiver Tyler Boyd. Boyd caught four of his five targets for 60 yards. he trailed only Ja’Marr Chase and running back Samaje Perine in total targets.

Boyd has seen his usage fluctuate due to injury issues, but those haven’t kept him off the field in recent weeks. Boyd has recorded a route participation rate of 81.8% or better since Week 18. He even ran 33 routes against the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round, good for an 89.2% route participation rate. Although the targets didn’t go his way, Buffalo’s pass rush struggled to get to Burrow. Kansas City’s pass rush won’t run into similar difficulties.
