Prescott enters the divisional round following the best performance of his playoff career. He completed 25 of 33 passes for 305 yards and four touchdowns, adding 24 yards and a touchdown on the ground in the dominant 31-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Cowboys were bounced from the playoffs by the 49ers in last year’s wild card round. And after the Buccaneers game, Prescott admitted he was hoping for a shot at redemption.

“Most definitely I did. I think this whole team did,” Prescott told reporters Thursday when asked if the Cowboys wanted a 49ers rematch in the playoffs, per NBC Sports.

“Obviously, using that loss last year as motivation and just kind of the focal point, I guess, of the resiliency that we carried into the offseason, obviously carried into this year. Yeah, we get a chance to go back and, at their place, do something that we want to do.”

Prescott will get his wish, but he’s going to have to be air-tight against a 49ers team that allowed the least amount of passing yards during the regular season (3,789).

Look for a confident Prescott to have his moments on Sunday, but it’s a good bet to fade the QB in a tough matchup.
