We have more chance to win some money on Week 15 of the NFL, and there is no better place to do that than Sleeper Fantasy. Selecting the right projections may be challenging, but with the assistance of OddsShopper’s NFL Sleeper Optimizer and thorough research, we have you covered. Let’s dive into the best Sleeper NFL picks and player projections for Dec. 18.
We are back to just one game for Monday Night Football, but it’s a good one! The 10-3 Eagles can separate themselves from the Cowboys in the NFC East with a win over the 6-7 Seahawks, who are moving in the wrong direction with four straight losses. The game total opened at 47.5 and has since moved down to 45.0, while the Eagles are still favored by 3.5 points in Seattle. Jalen Hurts is questionable with an illness, so keep an eye on the news, as his status is pretty important.
Sleeper Fantasy NFL Player Predictions: Picks for Tyler Lockett & More
Tyler Lockett M/L 3.5 Receptions
Tyler Lockett gets the same matchup against the Eagles with a game script that calls for passing, as the Seahawks are 3.5-point underdogs. OddsShopper’s Positive EV Bets tool is saying that this is the highest-rated EV play of the day on Sleeper, with true odds of -175 on the more. Lockett is averaging five receptions per game, 4.7 at home this season, and hauled in all six of his targets from Drew Lock last week. We need to take advantage of this projection, as it will likely get bumped to 4 or 4.5 by game time.
Best Sleeper Fantasy NFL Player Prediction: Tyler Locket More Than 3.5 Receptions
DK Metcalf M/L 59.0 Receiving Yards
DK Metcalf ranks just 27th in targets on the season with 88, but since Week 9, he’s been getting a lot more looks and ranks 11th with 44 over that span. He’s averaging 58 yards per game but does have seven games of over 67 yards this season. Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith is questionable for tonight after missing last week’s loss to Dallas. Lock got the start in his place and threw for 269 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown to Metcalf. Regardless of who’s behind center tonight, this is a great matchup for Metcalf.
The Eagles lead the NFL in receptions and touchdowns allowed to wide receivers and rank 30th in yards allowed to the position. Lock targeted Metcalf just five times in his 37 attempts, but that was against a stout 49ers defense. Metcalf is averaging 75.3 yards per game and has scored all seven of his touchdowns against NFC opponents.
Best Sleeper Fantasy NFL Player Prediction: DK Metcalf More Than 59 Receiving Yards
If you’re looking for some other pick’em action today, Underdog Fantasy has a pick on sale for D’Andre Swift in Monday Night Football. Kenneth Gainwell M/L 13.5 Rushing Yards
Another pick with positive EV is Kenneth Gainwell‘s rushing yards. This pick has a 55% expected win rate and true odds of -124, while other pick’em sites have this listed at 14.5.
Gainwell is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry on 5.25 attempts, but a lot of those were in Weeks 1 and 2 when he totaled 28 attempts. However, last week against Dallas, we saw him gain 28 yards on four attempts, and if Jalen Hurts ends up not playing tonight, Gainwell should get a few more touches in a favorable matchup. The Seahawks allow 94.5 rushing yards per game to running backs, 11th most in the NFL. The Eagles run the ball the fifth most in the NFL, and I expect them to continue that whether Hurts plays or not.
Best Sleeper Fantasy NFL Player Prediction: Kenneth Gainwell More Than 13.5 Rushing Yards
