Buffalo and Cincinnati each enter tonight’s game with questions about their quarterbacks. Josh Allen will continue to play through his shoulder injury, and some slight hesitation remains about whether Joe Burrow is fully back. With Burrow looking more likely to be healthy, the line still sits at Bengals -2.5 in an expected battle. There are some great value spots for the first touchdown, as BetMGM has cornered the odds for these plays. Both teams also have some chalk up top to be the first touchdown scorers, so feel free to lean on OddsShopper’s tools to find the highest-value plays. Here are the best first touchdown bets for Sunday night’s Bills-Bengals game.

Buffalo Bills First Touchdown Scorer
Put it all on his shoulder, and at 12-1 it’s hard to fade. The Bills have seen Allen pick up his yards on the ground, coming off a 41-yard performance last game. It’s not just that Allen is comfortable running with the ball again, he’s seeking out contact in the open field. There is clearly an issue in re-injuring his body, but it’s not slowing Allen down against the Bengals. The Bills will try to push the ball downfield, but Cincinnati has been playing well in limiting those big plays, at least coming off last week.
When healthy, Allen provides a variable on the ground that has always made up for a lesser running game. Based on his last performance alone, it’s hard to fade the concept that he will be active again. The Bills will rely a lot on Allen’s legs even in the opening drive, especially if he can break something from a short-yardage situation. He’s sitting at +1200 and is absolutely worth the play here. Cincinnati Bengals First Touchdown Scorer
The Bills are down some key players on defense, specifically in their secondary. Burrow has looked crisp over the past three games — an 8-to-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio always helps. Cincinnati is clearly trying to re-establish the dominant connection of Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase. This is a great matchup to exploit some role players thrust into starter reps, mainly by extending Chase downfield. Burrow should take a couple of shots in the Bengals’ opening drive to test how easy it’s going to be against Buffalo’s secondary. Chase should benefit from that and is sitting at a great +600 price on BetMGM. It’s a tad chalky, but these markets are tricky enough to split hairs on longer odds. Chase returns as Burrow’s best friend, and the duo should be able to stretch the field or torch Buffalo in the red zone.
Bills-Bengals First Touchdown Bet: Ja’Marr Chase +600 (BetMGM) for 0.25 Units
