The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles were two of the most explosive offenses in the NFL during the regular season, so we’ll surely have an exciting offensive game in Super Bowl LVII, right? Well, a lot of bettors are thinking otherwise. The Chiefs-Eagles over/under betting line has shifted due to a flurry of bets coming in on the under.

Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl LVII Over/Under Total on the Move
According to Caesars Sportsbook‘s Max Meyer, the over/under dipped from 51 to 50.5 on Thursday. The reason for the move was that 62.9% of bet tickets and 99.3% of the money were on the under. When the total has been below 51, 50.6% of bets and 82.1% of the money is on the under. Overall, 52.5% of tickets and 61.2% of the money is on the under, regardless of what price bettors got the total at.
The Chiefs come into the Super Bowl with a few questions surrounding their offensive playmakers. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes proved in the AFC Championship that he can still operate at a high level despite suffering a high ankle sprain the week before. But receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman and Kadarius Toney all got hurt during the Conference Championship. Their statuses remain uncertain, although Chiefs head coach Andy Reid expressed “doubt” that Hardman will be able to play. Travis Kelce was also dealing with back spasms during the postseason but has been able to practice through the injury.
Kansas City scored just 23 points in the AFC Championship despite Mahomes throwing for 326 yards and two touchdowns. They put up 27 points in the win over Jacksonville in the Divisional Round.
The Eagles should be able to utilize their elite running game in Super Bowl LVII, but there are some question marks surrounding star quarterback Jalen Hurts. He suffered an injury to his throwing shoulder several weeks ago, which forced him to miss two weeks at the end of the regular season. Hurts has been under center throughout the team’s two dominant postseason wins, but has thrown for under 300 yards combined, and has just two passing touchdowns.
It’ll be interesting to see how the injuries for both the Chiefs and Eagles affect the offensive nature of Super Bowl LVII. Based on the early Chiefs-Eagles over/under bets, most gamblers are seeing this one go under the total set at sportsbooks. If you are looking to bet on Super Bowl LVII, DraftKings Sportsbook is offering a great opportunity for new users. All you have to do is bet $5 on either team and you’ll receive $200 in bet credit!
