The big question here is obvious. Will the Jets be able to sustain offensive drives and keep the Kansas City offense off the field? My guess, like everybody else’s, is no. This may be the last straw for Zach Wilson leading the helm if he can’t make this game competitive. His offensive line has been solid at giving him time in the pocket. Last week against the Patriots, the Jets tried all they could to get the running game going. Breece Hall demanded more touches and got his wish. He carried the ball 12 times for just 18 yards. Dalvin Cook was just as bad. His longest rush of the day was just five yards. So, let’s look at the Chiefs side of the ball for our top player prop bet for Chiefs-Jets.
Patrick Mahomes has one of the prettiest deep balls in all of football. We have yet to see it as much as we did when Tyreek Hill was his teammate, but he still has plenty of weapons on the outside to burn defensive backs. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is one of the more underrated deep threats in the league with his sub 4.40 40-time, along with Skyy Moore, who is just as fast.
Mahomes connected with fellow speed threat Justin Watson on a 37-yard deep ball along the sideline for one of the best balls thrown this season. His ability to step in the pocket, along with his rocket of an arm, gives us a chance to cash this player prop bet at any moment. Thus far this season, Mahomes has completed five passes of at least 30 yards, including a 50-yard deep shot to Moore in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. That ranks him in the top five in that category. He also led the league in 30-yard passes by a wide margin last season.
The New York secondary is as talented as they come, but they have been prone to give up long receptions. Last week, Mac Jones connected on a 58-yarder to tight end Pharaoh Brown on a play-action call that had the Jets safeties in a blender. With Mahomes’ patented play-action, it shouldn’t take long for him to connect with someone deep down the field and cash this prop for the 14th time in 24 games dating back to last season.

Skyy Moore has continued to solidly his role on this championship-winning team. He scored his first touchdown of his career in the Super Bowl last season. His 65% snap share last week led the wide receiver room in the blowout win over the Chicago Bears. Some of those snaps came while Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the core were pulled, but Moore’s connection with Mahomes is slowly becoming something to note.

Moore’s blazing speed, mixed with his gadget-type game, leaves plenty of opportunities for him to find the end zone. Head coach Andy Reid always has something up his sleeve, and the value of Moore is too good to pass up. Out of all the targets outside of Travis Kelce and the running game, Mahomes has shown faith in Moore to make a play when called upon.
