Cowboys-Chargers Same Game Parlay Bet for MNF

Justin Herbert OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (MNF Player Prop)

Of all the Justin Herbert MNF player prop bets on the board, over 1.5 passing touchdowns has the highest expected win percentage in the OddsShopper Player Prop Tool (55%). Herbert has gone over the 1.5 number in two of his four games this season, and in a game with a 51 total, I think the Chargers will have to air it out some, especially being underdogs — albeit 1.5-point dogs. OddsShopper’s projections line up with that thought as well, having Herbert chucking it right round 36 times tonight. Plus, there’s a smidge of narrative in this matchup, as Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen Moore wants to show his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, what’s up.

Keenan Allen OVER 6.5 Receptions (MNF Player Prop)

Ever seen that Dave Chappelle skit where he’s talking about the type of people he wants to be drinking with? He goes through all the types of people and settles on it, you hear them cheer and he hits them with a, “Calm down, MFs, y’all win by default!” Yes, that was a long-winded way of getting a Dave Chappelle reference in this article. But it loosely applies. Keenan Allen basically wins by default here. All of the other Charger wide receivers are banged up, or already ruled out for this game. He has games with 9, 10 and 20 targets this season. He’s getting 11 targets per game, which is behind only Ja’Marr Chase and Puka Nacua. Yes, seven receptions is a lofty number, but if we think Herbert is going to be throwing the ball often in this game, who is he going to trust more to haul ’em in than his No. 1 receiver? And even the OddsShopper prop tool has Allen going over this number 56% of the time.

Tony Pollard 50+ Rushing Yards (Alt MNF Player Prop)

I sorted these Tony Pollard MNF player props by highest expected win rate, and over 66.5 rushing yards is projected to win 52%, which is still a relatively high number. However, sometimes we need to be a little more sure we have some edge here, and what better way than firing up the Pollard alt rushing yards line? We’re going with 50-plus rushing yards for this one. The Chargers are bottom 12 in rushing yards allowed to running backs this season and are allowing just about 4.2 yards per carry. Ironically, Pollard is averaging 4.2 yards per carry this year and has runs of 23 yards or longer in three of his five games. He’s a threat to break a long one at any time and could crush this 50-yard prop in one run. And if there’s anything we know about the Chargers, it’s that they LOVE to Charger and just be bad at a moment’s notice.
