Aaron Jones M/L Than 69.5 Rushing Yards
The Minnesota Vikings’ starting tailback enters this matchup averaging 15.6 carries for 70.6 rushing yards per game, with an efficient 4.5 yards per carry.
His upcoming opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, have allowed 4.4 yards per rush attempt to opposing running backs this season. While their run defense was a strong point earlier in the year, they’ve faltered recently. Three of the past four starting running backs they’ve faced have surpassed 90 rushing yards, with two of those players exceeding 125 yards on the ground.
Mac Jones will be stepping in for the injured Trevor Lawrence. In his first start this season, he’ll face a Vikings defense that leads the league in QB pressures and blitz percentage. This defensive pressure is likely to disrupt Jones and the Jaguars’ offense, providing the Vikings with consistent, advantageous field position.
Given this edge, Minnesota will likely be in control the game flow and look to prioritize their ground attack even more than usual.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Aaron Jones More Than 69.5 Rushing Yards
Derek Carr M/L 198.5 Passing Yards
Despite missing his top receiver, Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is in a strong position to exceed 198.5 passing yards this Sunday.
The Atlanta Falcons are allowing 218 passing yards per game and have the NFL’s highest opponent completion rate at 71%.
With the Saints entering the game as 3.5-point underdogs, they’ll likely find themselves playing from behind. Given that the Falcons should have little trouble scoring against one of the league’s weakest defenses, Carr and the Saints will need to lean on the passing game to keep pace with their division rival.
Let’s take advantage of this low number and bank on Carr slinging the pigskin consistently and effectively.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Derek Carr More Than 198.5 Passing Yards
