Kareem Hunt M/L Than 75.5 Rushing Yards

Every running back’s eyes light up at the chance to face the Carolina Panthers, PFF’s 31st-ranked run defense. This unit allows 4.6 yards per carry, gives up the second-most rushing touchdowns per game (1.7) and ranks dead last in rush success rate and 31st in rush EPA per play allowed.

The Kansas City Chiefs were hoping to have star running back Isiah Pacheco back, but he was ruled out once again. This paves the way for Kareem Hunt to take full advantage of the backfield snaps for at least one more game.

Hunt is currently averaging 20 carries for 73 yards, but as double-digit favorites, the Chiefs should control this game, leading to additional rushing opportunities and a boost to those averages. Stokastic’s NFL DFS projections forecast Hunt for 24 carries and 104 yards. Expect a big day on the ground from the veteran tailback.

De’Von Achane M/L Than 66.5 Rushing Yards

Speaking of tailbacks poised to seize opportunities, Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane finds himself in a similar position.

The second-year back will face the New England Patriots, whose run defense ranks 25th in PFF’s metrics. The Patriots also rank 23rd in rush EPA per play allowed and give up 4.4 yards per carry.

Like the Chiefs, the Dolphins are heavy favorites, likely putting them in control of the game and emphasizing the ground attack.

Stokastic’s NFL DFS projections have Achane listed with 17 carries for 81 yards, a sizable advantage over his current prop line – an edge we should look to exploit.
