Bucky Irving M/L Than 43.5 Rushing Yards

Don’t let last week’s implosion by the Philadelphia Eagles fool you: the Bucs still stink when it comes to stopping the ground game. So does Atlanta.

Neither team has put together a decent enough stretch to avoid those concerns coming into this game. Tampa’s air game is crisp right now; Mayfield is connecting with both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin at a ridiculous clip. That’s where the ground game can truly take over — especially for the road team on a short week.

This isn’t about keeping the best quarterback of all time off the field, rather maintaining control of the game via its tempo.

By running Bucky Irving through, what should be rather large holes in the Atlanta front, the Bucs can still move the ball without handing it right back.

That’s the best way for any road team to hang and eventually win on a short week.

We go back to the Falcons running too, which should keep this game relatively close in a lower scoring affair. Irving has big play capability and should see a decent number of carries: 10+ is a good start.

He should see some of the wider holes he’s run through all year, and it helps that he has cleared this number in three of four games this year. I like him to make that four out of five.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Bucky Irving More Than 43.5 Rushing Yards

Bijan Robinson M/L Than 94.5 Rushing & Receiving Yards

Before facing a mentally unfit Eagles coaching staff, the Bucs were giving up just five yards per carry. They didn’t do anything to shut down Saquon Barkley — he was just barely used during a blowout loss. The issues remain, and Tampa can be had on the ground.

Atlanta knows all about Kirk Cousins and his prime-time woes and will just create a smart game plan during this short week. The Falcons are best served working Bijan Robinson with as many touches while using Tyler Algeiers in relief. The one-two punch should loosen this Bucs defense up front while relieving some of that dangerous pass rush.

Robinson is pretty much a lock to hit 20+ receiving yards. He hit that in all four games this year. He has gone over 40 in the air in half of those contests and should see another favorable matchup in Atlanta.

Working in reverse, Robinson seeing four-to-five targets should net him anywhere from 35-50 yards receiving. That’s a great base to work since we also know he should return to a double digit carry night. He’s 18th in the NFL with 55 total carries through four games and ran it only seven times against the Saints last week. Robinson faces a much worse run defense and is the key to this Falcons offense.

Let’s go with Robinson to get more than 95 rushing and receiving yards — 60 rushing yards and 40 receiving yards will easily do the trick. That’s a realistic expectation for someone who should be active on nearly all the plays when he’s on the field. Sure, there’s big play receivers and Kyle Pitts looming, but working Robinson in the pass game is the key to this play going more than its total.
