Travis Kelce M/L Than 0.5 Rushing & Receiving Touchdowns

Neither of Patrick Mahomes‘ key weapons at tight end have caught a touchdown this year. While that may be more par for the course with Noah Gray, it’s certainly a surprise for Travis Kelce.

Most of the world keeps racing back to their phones each game, slamming the more and thinking, “this is the week.”

We know it’s not the week, and if anything, it’s the week for Gray to score before Kelce. The Raiders aren’t good — let’s get that out of the way — but it’s more the issues riding with the Chiefs offense. Sure, Mahomes is touchdown-less in the month of October — two games and a bye — but the offense itself just doesn’t look right.

They are still talented enough to move the football, as evidenced by both Gray and Kelce being involved in the game plans. Now it becomes the focus. The Raiders aren’t good enough to lock down everyone, and the arrival of DeAndre Hopkins doesn’t drastically change the Vegas game plan. It’s still limiting the main weapons from the top down. Vegas won’t be able to stop much of the quick pass to run game and will focus as much as possible with multiple levels against Kelce.

The harsh reality for Kelce is his on-field performance is looking similar to his game show-hosting abilities rather than the sure-fire lock for Canton. There were two of six games this year where Kelce looked like his old self; the rest are forgettable at best. This is a division test on the road, which is never easy, and he’s already negatively trending on the year — following another disappearance against the 49ers.

Caleb Williams M/L 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

The Bears come off a huge upset win in London and look to buck a horrific trend this week against Washington. The Commanders are holding out until the last minute to give word on Jayden Daniels and his availability — otherwise it’s Marcus Mariota.

Either way, the pressure remains on Caleb Williams to keep up performance around the veteran Bears team looking to make the playoffs.

Marc Lawrence, noted trend capper, said that NFL road teams coming off an upset win in London are 0-7 straight up and 1-6 against the spread. Williams is already dealing with a strong Commanders team outside of the quarterback issues. Williams has cleared 1.5 in three of six games this year, but two come with extreme caveats. The most recent was in London against one of the worst pass defenses we’ve seen in a decade (Jacksonville), the other was against Carolina, who blitzes all the time despite never reaching the quarterback.

Washington isn’t as risky with its coverages as Jacksonville, nor stupid enough to keep doing something that isn’t working, like Carolina. Williams is going to have a tough time coming back from a monster four-touchdown performance against lowly Jacksonville. The Commanders have the league’s 13th-ranked pass defense, giving up just over 212 yards per game, while their offense generated scoring chances like few in the league. Regardless of who the signal-caller is for Washington, Chicago’s won’t get more than one touchdown in the air.
