The Eagles have been rather volatile from a win-loss standpoint, but their DNA hasn’t changed. They turnover the ball, commit bad penalties, get torched on deep throws, and struggle to generate a pass rush. Outside of that, they are fine. This is exactly the type of team the Eagles would beat no matter how bad it got earlier in the year, and now are extra motivated to break out of this funk.
This sits just below the fourth biggest key number at 14 where the Eagles are more than capable of beating New York by two TDs. If you like trends, then look no further than Super Bowl losers being 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS coming off three straight losses – 3-0 SUATS at home winning games by 14.

There is only one scenario where Tommy DeVito even sniffs this line and that’s if the Giants are down big in the second half. Even then, DeVito needs to complete passes under a sure-fire pass rush. If DeVito were talented enough to take on pass rushes remotely close to the Eagles, then the Giants would already be a vertical threat. The only vertical threat comes from either QB or RB breaking a big run.
It’s unfortunate for the Giants because the Eagles defense is highly beatable even with this group of receivers. Philadelphia lives and dies off the pass rush, so if there’s nothing generated, the Giants could take their time to complete some passes. They won’t. It’s just not in the DeVito playbook.
