Jets-Browns Game Prop and Hall of Fame Game Predictions
The biggest thing people will focus on tonight is Jets head coach Robert Saleh and that 5-0-1 preseason record. It is all anyone who is backing the Jets can talk about — that and how “ready” his defense will be. This is the first game ahead of the rest of the preseason openers, with starters on both sides not expected to play deep into the game. Do you know who else is going to have their defense “ready and prepared”?
New Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. If anything, both defenses will look fine for the first couple of series before backups step in and give up some plays. Expect a heavy dose of Cleveland rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who had his way in the Pac-12 before coming to the NFL. It is one thing to take advantage of winning football teams in Week 3 of the preseason, but this early game in the schedule is going to cause some issues for the Jets working in a new quarterback. The Browns get a full camp from Watson after a season of getting him acclimated. Even the first series of starters benefits the Browns here. Expect points from an offense that will ask its backup quarterback to throw and run on the Jets all night.
