Travis Kelce Props Popular Ahead of Jaguars-Chiefs
Per BetMGM‘s John Ewing, the top prop bets for the Jaguars-Chiefs game are on Isiah Pacheco to score anytime TD (+155), Travis Kelce to score 1st TD (+550), Travis Etienne over 19.5 receiving yards (-115), Travis Kelce over 79.5 receiving yards (-115) and Christian Kirk over 62.5 receiving yards (-115).
Kelce enters his eighth NFL Playoffs following another season dominating the stat sheet. He led all tight ends with 104 receptions, 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns, helping Patrick Mahomes fill the void left by Tyreek Hill. Kelce enters Saturday’s game having reeled in at least six receptions in his last four games.
The star tight end led the way for the Chiefs with six receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown in the 27-17 win over the Jaguars in Week 10. He needs just 98 more receiving yards to pass Rob Gronkowski for most yards in playoff history by a tight end (1,389 yards).
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has built up a legendary rapport with Kelce, and will likely be leaning on his big target for however long their run in the playoffs goes.
“He’s just a competitor,” Mahomes said, per ESPN. “I think that’s the best talent that Travis has. It’s not the size, the speed, the route running. It’s that he will compete to the very end, and he’s going to go down fighting.
“I think that I’m the same way, as I’m going to do whatever I can to win no matter what the score is. We have a lot of guys like that on this team, and I think that’s what makes great teams is guys that won’t give up even when it doesn’t look great.”
The Jaguars-Chiefs game will present bettors with a lot of different options, but it’s hard not to jump at some Travis Kelce props given the Jaguars’ struggles containing opposing tight ends. If the Jags don’t have a great plan for Kelce, he’ll be leading the charge for the Chiefs all afternoon.
