Jalen Hurts-Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl Odds
Per DraftKings Sportsbook, the Patrick Mahomes-Jalen Hurts passing yards prop greatly favors the Chiefs QB. DraftKings has Mahomes as a -45.5 favorite over Hurts in the passing yards department, and a -0.5 passing touchdowns favorite, as well. The combined passing yards total is currently set at 535.5 (-110).
Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Divisional Round but proved he can still dominate his opponent without his patented escapability at his disposal. He completed 29 of 43 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns in the 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bills last weekend.
Jalen Hurts has been dealing with an injury of his own. He suffered a throwing shoulder injury that kept him out of weeks 16 & 17 of the regular season. Hurts has shown signs that he is still not quite right despite the blowouts in the first two rounds of the postseason. He has just 275 yards and two touchdowns combined in the playoffs thus far, and will likely use the extra week of rest to get more treatment on his injured shoulder before Super Bowl LVII.
“I’m getting there. I’ve made it clear this whole time it’s something I’m dealing with,” Hurts said, via Elliot Shorr-Parks of WIP.
Of course, nobody is fully healthy at this point in the regular season, but it’s likely Mahomes and Hurts will both be gutting through some immense pain throughout their Super Bowl duel. If the previous playoff games are any indication, Mahomes should be able to stuff the stat sheet more than Hurts regardless of who wins Super Bowl LVII. The Jalen Hurts-Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl head-to-head odds reflect that Mahomes should have more success than Hurts next Sunday night.
