Is Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams playing in Week 5? Question marks have lingered all week about Javonte Williams’ status leading up to Sunday. He remains questionable due to an quad injury.
Let’s look at the most recent Javonte Williams injury updates as we assess whether he will be available in Week 5.
Javonte Williams Injury Update: Is Denver’s Star Playing Sunday?
Javonte Williams Injury Update
Latest Javonte Williams Injury Updates has the RB a game-time decision (October 8 at 8: 55 am)
Javonte Williams exited Denver’s Week 4 come-from-behind win against the Chicago Bears early in the first half and was ruled out for the second half. Denver can not afford to lose Williams for much time in what already is a dumpster-fire situation in Denver. At 1-3 and listed as favorites in Week 5 against the New York Jets, Williams will be needed against a lethal New York Jets defense.
The news is encouraging out of Denver’s camp regarding Williams’ status. He logged a full practice on Friday after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday.

His full practice on Friday should be encouraging for bettors or fantasy owners, but be wary of the game time. Williams and the Broncos are slotted in the 4:25 E.T. slot. Keep an eye on his status leading up to kickoff. If Williams can’t go, backup running back Jaleel McLaughlin should get the start. Mclaughlin was magical in the absence of Williams last week. He totaled over 100 yards on 10 touches. But, in an already difficult matchup against the Jets, Williams or McLaughlin will be presumed to struggle.
