Sunday Night Football features an interesting matchup that easily could have been flexed out for a better game. It’s been a rather pedestrian run of prime time games for the NFL, but as they know – we will all watch. The Jets are looking to bounce back from an ugly loss where their offense refused to stop handing over the football to the Chargers. The Raiders fired their head coach and benched their QB, only to bounce back with a major win last week. Do the Jets strike first in their own bounce back or do the Raiders keep this momentum going into Sunday Night? Let’s look at the two best options for First TD in Sunday Night Football!

The Jets have no choice but to keep feeding Breece Hall the football under any and all circumstances. Their only chance in keeping up with any opponent is rushing and throwing to Hall, pretty much all game. That should start right away as he’s their true source of any offensive production, and his number for First TD hasn’t been totally watered down.
Anything at 6-1 or better is solid for Hall who may cross the goal line first as a rusher or receiver, but is clearly the Jets best option to do anything – including score first. The only team giving up more rushing yards per game than the Raiders are the Broncos; Vegas sits 31st in the league overall. Things have gotten increasingly worse for the Raiders defense, giving up an average of over 172 rushing yards per game over their last three contests.
If the Jets can’t take advantage of this with a talent like Hall, it’s truly time to fire Robert Saleh and anyone else that is labeled a “coach” for this awful team. Eat the chalk and take Hall at +600 on BetMGM, and assume that someone on the Jets has their head on straight.

Las Vegas Raiders First Touchdown Scorer
It certainly wasn’t the Jets defense fault they lost their last game to the Chargers. This won’t be an easy matchup for Aiden O’Connell and the Raiders offense – at least in the air. Just below the Raiders at 30th overall are the New York Jets run defense, giving up 137 rushing yards per game. That number has dipped a little bit over their last three games on average, but it’s still the main area of attack for any opponent.
It just so happens the Raiders have a talented running back in Josh Jacobs, despite a rather pedestrian season so far. Most of that came under the old regime where both head coach and QB paralyzed this offense. Things should change as the Raiders find their way under a better QB and a fresh voice running the team. Jacobs still has 5 TDs on the ground in nine games played, and is always a threat for a big gain or goal line activity.
The Raiders are down one of the better tackles in the game in Kolton Miller so it might not be as easy as advertised running the football. The problem is they aren’t going to be able to take full advantage of the Jets defense without establishing a presence on the ground. The Raiders will lean heavy on Jacobs all game, but it starts with their opening drive – and opening score.
