Justin Jefferson Injury Update: Is Minnesota’s Star Receiver Playing Monday?

Justin Jefferson Injury Update

It’s been six weeks since we’ve seen Justin Jefferson suit up for the Vikings. It was long enough that Kirk Cousins was still healthy, and now starting quarterback Joshua Dobbs was in Arizona. Of course, the Vikings have missed Jefferson’s presence on the field, but they’ve won five of their six games without Jefferson and rode a five-game winning streak into Sunday Night Football last week before the surging Denver Broncos took care of business. Jefferson has been listed as questionable for Monday after being limited in practice all week.

The Vikings are expected to continue to be extremely cautious with Jefferson. Unfortunately for Jefferson owners in fantasy football, the Vikings have a bye next week, and it’d be wise to have Jefferson sit another game, take two weeks to rest, and be a full-go against the Las Vegas Raiders on Dec. 10.

Is Justin Jefferson Playing for Minnesota on Monday?

So is Justin Jefferson playing for Minnesota on Monday? I don’t expect him to. The limited practice all week, mixed with a bye week next week, doesn’t bode well for Jefferson to suit up on Monday Night Football. Head Coach Kevin O’Connell reiterated that Jefferson ran full speed at certain points in practice and took part in some team reps. Those are not encouraging words if you’re looking for Jefferson on primetime.
