Marquise Brown Injury Update: Is Arizona’s Star Playing Sunday?
Marquise Brown Injury Update
Latest Marquise Brown Injury Update (October 15 9:30 AM): Brown is expected to play for Arizona on Sunday.
It’s flu season, and Marquise Brown has been dealing with an illness all week. Arizona’s leading receiver picked up a questionable tag for Sunday’s Cardinals-Rams game because of it. Brown had to miss Wednesday’s practice but logged limited reps on Thursday and Friday. One of his teammates, tight end Elijah Higgins, has also been dealing with an illness this week.
This is the second time Brown has earned a questionable tag this season. He picked up a mid-week thumb injury before Week 4 and was listed as questionable, but he played through the injury. However, this is only an illness, and NFL injury analyst Deepak Chona suspects Brown will suit up.
Is Marquise Brown Playing for Arizona in Week 6?
So is Marquise Brown playing for Arizona in Week 6? Illnesses rarely hold players out of games, let alone practices, and it’s encouraging that Brown was able to get in at least limited reps on Thursday and Friday. Still, with the trade deadline approaching and the Cardinals far away from competing, expect them to be careful with one of their few valuable trade chips.
Lions’ rookie TE Sam LaPorta is expected to play today vs. Tampa, per @JeffDarlington.

If Brown can’t go on Sunday, the Cardinals don’t have the best options behind him — but I doubt they’ll have to play without Brown in the first place. Wide receiver Michael Wilson ranks second on the team in receiving yards (255) but tight end Zach Ertz ranks second in targets (34) and receptions (22). Wide receiver Rondale Moore rounds out the thin receiving room with 17 targets, 11 receptions and 81 yards.
