Lions-49ers MNF Best Bets
The Lions come into this game as 3.5-point road favorites, and while this game doesn’t technically impact their playoff seeding, don’t think for a second that Dan Campbell is taking his foot off the gas.
Campbell made it clear in his recent comments:
“We’re bringing everything we’ve got to this game, and we are playing. I don’t care what it looks like and where it’s at. We’re going out to play and win this game out on the West Coast.”
When Campbell speaks, I believe him. This isn’t an Andy Reid or Sean McVay situation where coach speak gets tricky. Campbell wants his team firing on all cylinders heading into next week’s huge matchup against the Vikings, where the stakes couldn’t be higher.
On the flip side, the 49ers are a team that feels lifeless right now. This isn’t some Cinderella squad looking to play spoiler; this is a team wrecked by injuries with little left to play for. Their offensive line is a patchwork unit, with only two regular starters expected to suit up tonight. The season has been brutal for the 49ers, and it’s hard to imagine them rallying for a meaningless game against a fired-up Lions team.
MNF Best Bet for Lions-49ers: Lions -3.5 (-120, FanDuel)
Best MNF Player Prop Bets for Week 17
Isaac Guerendo Under 66.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
This line feels inflated given Guerendo’s circumstances. He’s been battling a foot sprain and a new hamstring injury, and even though he’s off the injury report, the 49ers are unlikely to force-feed him carries in a game that means nothing.
On top of that, San Francisco’s offensive line is in shambles, making it tough to see Guerendo finding much running room. The Lions defense has also stepped up in big spots this season, defying expectations despite its own injury woes.
This prop is available at Bet365 at -110 odds, which is great value considering all the factors working against Guerendo tonight.
Craig Reynolds Anytime Touchdown (+550)
Let’s have a little fun with this one. Reynolds is sitting at +650 to score a touchdown, and I like the value here. With David Montgomery out and the Lions potentially looking to ease Jahmyr Gibbs’ workload in a game that doesn’t affect seeding, Reynolds could see more opportunities.
Reynolds had two red zone touches last week, and if the backfield split leans his way at all tonight, +550 is worth a shot.
