Browns-Steelers Player Prop
Ew, another projected low-scoring Monday Night Football game. These two AFC North teams are trending in opposite directions. The Steelers were embarrassed at home against the San Francisco 49ers, while the Cleveland Browns made easy work of the Cincinnati Bengals. Let’s turn our attention to Nick Chubb, who racked up over 100 yards on the ground in Week 1.
Chubb continues to be one of the best running backs in the league. He’s rushed for the second-most yards in the last five seasons, behind Derrick Henry, while ranking in the top 5 in touchdowns. This game against the Steelers screams not only low scoring, but also a ton of work for Chubb, even with the loss of Jack Conklin on the offensive line. It will be tough to trust Deshaun Watson with star wide receiver Amari Cooper most likely to miss this game. Donovan Peoples-Jones should see an uptick in work alongside Elijah Moore. With that being said, I will trust Chubb, who was relied upon in the passing game last week.
With the loss of Kareem Hunt, who is still unsigned, Chubb showcased in Week 1 that he can work in the pass game. Watson targeted Chubb four times, third most on the team, and he reeled in all four targets. His 21 yards was fourth most on the team, but with Cooper most likely to be sidelined, Chubb could be in line for more work. Backup running back Jerome Ford saw a ton of work in Week 1 at the tail end of the game, but I expect this game to be much closer and for Chubb to see an uptick in snaps, which should result in more targets in the passing game.

Browns-Steelers Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Multiple offensive weapons will be missing in this Week 2 showdown on both sides of the offense. We addressed Cooper most likely being sidelined, but Diontae Johnson of the Steelers will also be missing this game — two receivers that are target merchants. So who will step up in this one? Pat Freiermuth was held to just one catch in Week 1, but it resulted in a touchdown. He has decent value on FanDuel, but I’m going to the Browns side in this one to score a touchdown.
Moore is listed at +325 on BetMGM, while he’s below +280 on DraftKings and FanDuel. MGM has not adjusted to the Cooper news. We’ll take advantage of this after Moore saw seven targets and two rush attempts in Week 1. He’s a Swiss army knife that the New York Jets failed to use properly the last two seasons. Give me all the shares of Elijah Moore on Monday with injury news in question on the Browns side.
