NFC Championship Game Odds: Early 49ers-Eagles Odds
The Eagles and 49ers will battle it on Sunday, Jan. 30, to determine who will represent the NFC in Super Bowl LVII. The 49ers come in as the hottest team in the NFL as they’ve won 12 straight games dating back to Week 8. The Eagles are flying high, having dominated NFC East foe New York for the third time this season by a score of 38-7. The Eagles come in as 2.5-point favorites, per FanDuel.
The 49ers will be making their third NFC Championship game appearance in the last four seasons after a 19-12 win against the Dallas Cowboys, led by the top defensive unit in the NFL. Rookie quarterback Brock Purdy has the 49ers’ loaded offense playing complete football and has yet to lose a start in the NFL through eight games.
The Eagles are 15-1 this season with Jalen Hurts behind center. Backup quarterback Gardner Minshew stepped in for Hurts after he suffered a shoulder injury in their Week 15 win against the Chicago Bears. Minshew went 0-2 in place of Hurts, including a heartbreaking loss on Christmas Eve to the Dallas Cowboys.
The 49ers are making an NFC-high 18th championship game appearance, while the Eagles are making their eighth appearance all time and seventh in this century alone.
Lincoln Financial Field will be rocking, with the Philadelphia faithful looking to rattle Purdy, who is playing in one of the most hostile environments in all of football. The Eagles are 6-3 in home playoff games dating back to their run to the Super Bowl in 2004.
