Best 49ers-Eagles Rushing Props: Miles Sanders Gets His Greatest Challenge Yet

Two of the top running backs this season go head-to-head in the NFC Championship Game for a chance to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Christian McCaffrey and Miles Sanders found themselves in the top 10 in rushing yards during the regular season but had different performances in the Divisional Round. McCaffrey’s rushing player props have been heavily targeted since he joined the 49ers. Let’s look ahead to the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

NFC Championship Rushing Props: Best 49ers-Eagles Props

Christian McCaffrey Player Prop: O/U 63.5 Rushing Yards

Christian McCaffrey has been everything and more the 49ers could wish for. Since becoming the bell cow running back in Week 8, McCaffrey and the Niners are 12-0. He is averaging 73 yards per game on the ground and has five touchdowns rushing since Brock Purdy took over. McCaffrey is a rookie quarterback’s best friend that can take a dump-off pass to the end zone on any given play.

There has been speculation that McCaffrey is dealing with a calf injury. After running in a 2-yard touchdown to start the fourth quarter in a win in the Divisional Round against the Dallas Cowboys, McCaffrey didn’t receive a single snap to end the game. Backup running back Elijah Mitchell had the rest of the backfield work and out-carried McCaffrey by four. This is cause for concern. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has always been an advocate of a backfield by a committee and will not hesitate to get all of his running backs involved. Look for McCaffrey to be utilized more in the passing game if the 49ers find themselves trailing the Eagles.

Miles Sanders Player Prop: O/U 50.5 Rushing Yards

Miles Sanders is having a career year. After not scoring a single touchdown in 2021-22, Sanders has found the end zone 11 times and in eight different games. He’s playing for a new contract, and with the running back class coming into the NFL next year, Sanders will have to show the front office why he is worth top dollar.

Sanders will face off against one of the top run defenses in the league. The 49ers allow the fewest yards per carry because of a stout defensive line led by Defensive Player of the Year favorite Nick Bosa. They’ve held starting running backs under this number in three straight games, including holding Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot to 26 yards. The Niners have yet to face an offense like the Eagles. MVP candidate Jalen Hurts is a threat with his legs and will have multiple eyes on him out of the backfield. This will open up holes for Sanders, who has gone over this line in 13 of 18 games, including rushing for 90 yards in the rout of the New York Giants in the Divisional Round.

Best 49ers-Eagles Rushing Prop Bet: Miles Sanders Over 50.5 Rushing Yards -114 (FanDuel)
