Chiefs-Texans Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets for NFL Divisional Round Saturday
Picks by Danny Burke
The first player I’m targeting to find the end zone in this AFC Divisional Round matchup is no stranger to scoring in the postseason.
In 19 career playoff games, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has racked up 19 touchdowns. He’ll have a solid chance to make it 20 when he faces the Houston Texans.
Houston has struggled to contain tight ends, allowing them an average of 4.3 receptions for 42 yards per game. The Texans have also surrendered eight touchdowns to tight ends this season and give up 1.8 passing touchdowns per game.
While Kelce has only scored three times this season, he still leads the Chiefs in red zone targets with 26. Of those, he’s converted 19 into receptions for 106 yards and three scores.
The postseason is where Kelce shines. Regular-season numbers don’t matter now – he’s one of the best when the playoffs roll around and I’m expecting that to continue in this matchup.

The other player I’m backing to score is the second-leading red zone target for the Kansas City Chiefs: Xavier Worthy.
Worthy has been targeted 18 times in the red zone, hauling in 11 receptions for 77 yards and four touchdowns. Overall, he’s found the end zone 10 times this season – six receiving and three rushing. That’s the beauty of Worthy’s game: his speed makes him a versatile scoring threat.
As mentioned, the Texans are more vulnerable to passing touchdowns, allowing 1.8 per game, compared to just 0.6 rushing touchdowns. The Chiefs’ best path to success in the end zone will likely come through the air, which is why I’m backing their top two receivers to score.

Lions-Commanders Anytime Touchdown Scorers for NFL Divisional Round Saturday
The Washington Commanders are allowing touchdowns on 12.3% of receptions to tight ends – the highest rate in the NFL.
This season, eight tight ends have scored against the Commanders, who allow an average of four receptions and 40 yards per game to the position.
The Commanders also allow 1.5 passing touchdowns per game, putting Lions tight end Sam LaPorta in an excellent spot to capitalize. LaPorta ranks second on the team in red zone targets with 19, bringing in 11 catches for 80 yards and five touchdowns. Overall, he’s reached the end zone seven times this season.
While a member of the Lions’ backfield, like Jahmyr Gibbs or David Montgomery, might seem like the obvious choice to score, their odds don’t offer much value. LaPorta is the next best option, offering strong upside given this matchup, along with the current betting price.
