@dannyburke5 – Moneyline – NYG -135: Last week I faded the G-Men, and this week, I’m backing them. Daniel Jones played horrifically in last week’s loss to the Texans, where he threw for just 138 yards, two picks and no touchdowns. That was his first live action since tearing his ACL last fall.
Jones will need to get some confidence back heading into the regular season, so this game should be meaningful for him. Tommy DeVito will serve as the backup, assuming Drew Lock is still nursing his oblique injury.

DeVito is more than capable of moving the ball downfield in this type of setting. As for the Jets, Head Coach Robert Saleh said on Thursday that Aaron Rodgers and the starters would not be playing in this game.
That means my former college quarterback, Nebraska legend Adrian Martinez, will likely get the nod under center. As much as I would like to support my fellow Husker, I’m going to be rooting for the Giants to come out on top of this one.

@is_sirois – Spread – HOU -3.5: If one thing has become abundantly clear in the preseason, it’s that the Los Angeles Rams offense we’ve seen isn’t doing much work. Sure, they’re 2-0, but they’ve scored a total of 26 points. Woof.
Poor quarterback play has held the Rams back. Both games have seen Stetson Bennett attempt every pass, and while he won a championship at Georgia, his 59.4% completion percentage, 6.4 yards per attempt and four interceptions just aren’t going to cut it.

On the other side, we’ve got a 2-1 Texans team that has posted 65 points in the preseason. Unlike the Rams, the Texans have a number of quarterbacks hoping to keep their careers alive, with Davis Mills, Case Keenum and Tim Boyle all on the roster behind C.J. Stroud, who the Texans have given plenty of action in the preseason.
The Texans are a 3.5-point favorite over the Rams for Saturday’s action, and while that’s a decent-sized number for them to cover, it will be too hard for Bennett and L.A. to keep up — especially if we get a series or two from the starters.
