Chiefs-Eagles Anytime Touchdown Scorers for the Super Bowl
Picks by Danny Burke
Jalen Hurts racked up 14 rushing touchdowns during the regular season and added four more across three playoff games. Yet, he’s priced at just -115 to score in the Super Bowl.
Most bettors prefer plus-money odds when wagering on anytime touchdown props, but some players are worth laying the juice—Hurts is one of them.
As mentioned, he’s been a frequent visitor to the end zone this season. He faces a Kansas City defense that has been solid overall, but has shown cracks in the playoffs, allowing a 67% red-zone efficiency in their two postseason games.
That said, red-zone defense is almost irrelevant against the Eagles. Once they get inside the five-yard line, they turn to their nearly unstoppable “tush push.”
In the biggest game of the season—and their careers—Philly won’t hesitate to rely on their go-to play in critical moments. They’ve trusted it more than handing the ball to Saquon Barkley, so we shouldn’t be too concerned about him taking away Hurts’ opportunities when they get close enough.
With the total sitting around 48.5, this game projects for plenty of scoring. I’d be shocked if we didn’t see multiple tush push attempts near the goal line. At this price, it’s a bet worth making.

We’ll shift to the Kansas City side for our next anytime touchdown scorer bet.
Kareem Hunt has been on a mission since rejoining the Chiefs. This season, he’s totaled 225 carries for 836 yards and 9 touchdowns—two of which have come in the postseason, with one in each game.
There’s no question Hunt has been the more reliable running back compared to Isiah Pacheco. Hunt is averaging 4.3 yards per carry this postseason, while Pacheco sits at just 3.0.
This matchup isn’t as appealing as previous weeks, given the Eagles boast one of the NFL’s best run defenses. They rank second in PFF’s run defense grades and have allowed just a 48.3% red-zone touchdown efficiency.
However, the Chiefs will find the end zone at some point. If they struggle through the air—which is likely, considering Philly owns PFF’s top-ranked pass coverage—then leaning on Hunt in key situations becomes their best option.
Let’s take another flier on Kareem Hunt and hope he delivers one final time this season.

Let’s stay on the Chiefs’ side and target Marquise “Hollywood” Brown as our next anytime touchdown scorer.
At first glance, this pick may seem strange, but Patrick Mahomes has a history of spreading the touchdown wealth—especially in the Super Bowl.
Brown played a notable role in the AFC Championship against Buffalo, seeing five targets and catching three passes for 35 yards. While those numbers aren’t eye-popping, it’s important to remember that he had only played in three other games all season before that matchup. Mahomes is steadily building trust with him.
The Eagles’ secondary has been terrific all year, and that should continue to some extent. However, much of their defensive focus will likely be on Xavier Worthy and Travis Kelce. That could create opportunities for the speedy Brown to slip through coverage and find the end zone.

Our final selection between the Chiefs and Eagles, is one of the longest shots that I’ve given out during this series of articles, so don’t go overboard—his odds are high for a reason.
That said, there’s a path for veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to find the end zone. Normally, I wouldn’t consider him, but at the price of +650, he’s hard to ignore.
As mentioned, Mahomes has a tendency to spread his touchdowns around in big games. So, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him look toward one of the best receivers of the past decade in a crucial moment. Scoring in his first Super Bowl appearance would be quite the story for Hopkins.
He likely won’t see consistent targets—he’s only been targeted three times this postseason—but if the Eagles’ defense is keyed in on other playmakers, Hopkins could slip into soft coverage and capitalize.
At this price, taking a chance on one of the league’s best route runners and surest hands is well worth consideration.
