NFL Survivor Pool Picks for Week 10 (2024)

As we head deeper into the season, the options for survivor pool picks are dwindling. In NFL Week 10, there are a couple of choices that may cause discomfort, but may be necessary. There is one team that stands out as particularly reliable, though. Here’s a look at the top recommendations for your NFL survivor pool picks in Week 10.

Bears -6 vs. Patriots | NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 10

Before you click away because I, a long-suffering Bears fan, am suggesting them for a survivor pick – hear me out.

Yes, the Chicago Bears are a mess, and it’s clear Coach Matt Eberflus has lost the locker room. I know this all too well and have been calling for a coaching change for quite some time. That said, this is a game the Bears not only need to win but absolutely should win.

As bleak as things look in Chicago, they can rally for what may be their last truly winnable game of the season. Don’t let recency bias completely cloud your judgment. I get it – the Bears’ struggles have lasted more than a week, making it tempting to look elsewhere. But let’s not forget what they’ve done well for most of the season.

Their defense remains the backbone of this team. Despite last week’s poor showing against Arizona, the Bears still rank 4th in EPA/Play allowed and 3rd in opponent red zone efficiency (40.9%).

On the other side, I predicted the New England Patriots would be the worst team in the NFL this year, and that’s looking possible. They’re currently 29th in defensive EPA/Play and 25th in success rate allowed. This could be a chance for Caleb Williams and the offense to show some life.

And while Eberflus has struggled, he somehow manages to get his players to perform at home. The Bears have won their last eight games at Soldier Field—the longest active home winning streak in the NFL.

Giants -5.5 vs. Panthers | NFL Survivor Week 10

The NFL heads back to an international stage as the Carolina Panthers, technically the home team, take on the New York Giants in Munich, Germany.

In a shocking turn of events, the Panthers finally won a game with Bryce Young as their starting quarterback, edging out the Saints 23-22 last Sunday.

Head coach Dave Canales has remained non-committal about whether Bryce Young or Andy Dalton will start in this matchup.

Regardless of who takes the snaps for Carolina, this setup is favorable for the Giants. They’ll face a Panthers defense that ranks last in success rate and 31st in EPA per play.

Daniel Jones has been reasonably effective this season, completing 64% of his passes for 1,880 yards, with eight touchdowns and five interceptions. However, the Giants should look to capitalize on their ground game against the league’s worst run defense. It’s far from a sexy, or confident, survivor pick, but that’s the approach that’s needed this late in these contests.

Chargers -7.5 vs Titans | NFL Survivor Week 10

If you have yet to use the Los Angeles Chargers in your survivor pool, this is the spot for you. Barring any crazy circumstances, this will be the most favorable matchup they’ll see for the rest of the season. The Chargers are favored by more than a touchdown at home against a struggling, non-divisional opponent.

The Tennessee Titans rank 29th in offensive EPA, 28th in yards per play (4.7), and 27th in success rate. Meanwhile, the Chargers’ defense has been one of the NFL’s best, ranking 1st in EPA per play allowed and 2nd in success rate allowed.

Whether it’s Will Levis or Mason Rudolph taking snaps, it won’t matter. The Chargers are coming off their most impressive win of the season and will carry that momentum back home to a spot where they possess all of the advantages.
