Dolphins-Commanders Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Expert: Isaiah Sirois
Watch: FOX
When: Sunday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. ET
Where:  FedEx Field, Landover, Md.
Who: Tyreek Hill at bet365

Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. The Washington Commanders lead the NFL in receiving touchdowns allowed to wide receivers (18). Tyreek Hill entered Week 13 ranked second for targets inside the 20-yard line (18) and first for targets inside the 10-yard line (12). In addition to his red-zone volume, Hill has seven touchdowns on targets outside of the red zone — his electric speed makes him a threat to score anytime he touches the football.

Hill dealt with an ankle injury in practice this week but was able to log limited practice sessions on Thursday and Friday. That was enough for him to escape the injury report without a questionable designation, so he’ll be on the field come Sunday. I’m not too worried about the star receiver being on a snap count come Sunday — Hill suffered the injury early against the New York Jets last week but still managed to rack up 102 receiving yards, two rushing yards and a score by the time the clock expired.

The combination of Hill’s game-breaking speed, Hill’s heavy red-zone volume and Washington’s putrid secondary all point to a big game for the veteran wideout, which is why most books aren’t offering a great price for him to score a touchdown. Still, you can find the -138 (58%) at bet365 and the -145 (59.2%) at FanDuel. Hill has scored a touchdown in nine of his 11 games this year (81.8%), so those are still solid prices relative to the win rate of this wager.

Week 13 Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bet: Tyreek Hill -138 at bet365

Lions-Saints Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Expert: Justin Martin
Watch: FOX
When: Sunday, Dec 3 at 1 p.m. ET
Where: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans
Who: Amon-Ra St. Brown at FanDuel

If you haven’t put Amon-Ra St. Brown on your list of top wide receivers in football, do so now. The connection between him and quarterback Jared Goff is one like any other. St. Brown has accumulated the 10th most targets in football and, more importantly, the 11th most targets in the red zone among wide receivers. He is our top anytime touchdown scorer for Sunday’s Lions-Saints game.

Good luck to the already-depleted New Orleans Saints secondary. They’ll be assigned to defend not only St. Brown but the rest of the elite Detroit Lions offense. In what was an elite defense at the beginning of the season, the Saints have been put to the test the last few weeks. They have allowed over 25 points per game over the last five weeks — much higher than their season average.

New Orleans’ recent defensive struggles have come against some bad offenses. The Saints surrendered 24 points to the Falcons last week — seven were off a pick-six, but they allowed wide receiver Drake London to reel in five catches on 91 yards. The week prior, they allowed 27 points to a Joshua Dobbs-led team. Now they’ll face off against a Lions team on extra rest, coming off a loss, and with St. Brown looking to reel in his sixth touchdown of the season.

Week 13 Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bet: Amon-Ra St. Brown +125 at FanDuel

Browns-Rams Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Expert: Isaiah Sirois
Watch: FOX
When: Sunday, Dec. 3 at 4:25 p.m. ET
Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, Calif.
Who: David Njoku at DraftKings

The Cleveland Browns are making a quarterback change this weekend: veteran Joe Flacco is set to take the controls. Flacco, the longtime starter for the Baltimore Ravens, is now on his fifth team since losing his job to Lamar Jackson. Flacco hasn’t been in Cleveland long, but as Joshua Dobbs showed us a few weeks ago, sometimes that doesn’t matter all that much. I like Cleveland’s offense with Flacco at the helm, and I’m backing tight end David Njoku to find paydirt against the Los Angeles Rams.

Flacco loves to target his tight ends close to the goal line, and we know the Browns have often called Njoku’s number near the goal line. Before the Ravens won the Super Bowl after the 2012 season, tight end Dennis Pitta racked up seven scores in the regular season. A 32-year-old Owen Daniels caught four touchdown passes from Flacco in 2014. A 37-year-old Bet Watson also caught four touchdown passes from Flacco in 2017. Expect him to find Njoku, who leads the Browns in targets inside the 20-yard line (12) and the 10 (7).

Njoku owns anytime touchdown odds of +295 (25.3%) at DraftKings. That’s far shorter than his actual hit rate — Njoku has scored in just two games this year, good for 18.2%. However, Njoku has had the disadvantage of playing with some truly terrible quarterbacks, and while I don’t think a 38-year-old Joe Flacco is much better, his red-zone tendencies — and the matchup with a Rams defense that has coughed up five receiving scores to tight ends — point to value here.

Week 13 Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bet: David Njoku +295 at DraftKings
