NFL Week 7 Anytime Touchdown Scorers | Best Bets for Sunday, October 20

Patriots-Jaguars Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bet for Week 7

Pick by Danny Burke.

In a season that’s provided minimal joy, there has been a sliver of excitement with the Jacksonville Jaguars’ second-year tailback Tank Bigsby.

Over his last three games, Bigsby has racked up 27 carries for 215 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Presumably, his role should increase this Sunday against the New England Patriots, not only because of his efficiency, but also due to the injury to Travis Etienne Jr.

Regardless, since Week 4, Bigsby has handled a majority of the red zone snaps, totaling seven in comparison to Etienne’s three.

Bigsby’s upcoming opponent has been susceptible to the running game all season long — particularly near the goal line. The Patriots have allowed one rushing touchdown in every game this season. PFF grades them as the 30th-ranked run defense.

Clearly, the Jaguars trust in Bigsby, and there is no better time to act on that then this Sunday against a weakened Patriots run defense.

Raiders-Rams Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bet for Week 7

Pick by Isaiah Sirois.

If you’re a Georgia Bulldogs fan, you had plenty to celebrate with Saturday’s big win over Texas. But with so many Bulldogs in action on Sunday, you won’t be short of things to celebrate anytime soon. No player stands out more on the anytime touchdown scorer markets for Week 7 than rookie tight end Brock Bowers. Sure, he has just one career score to this point. That will change on Sunday.

The Las Vegas Raiders are limping. They have no clear top option at quarterback between Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell. Alpha wide receiver Davante Adams is now gone, and veteran wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is doubtful. Things are grim in Las Vegas.

The good news is that things are also grim in Los Angeles — at least for the Rams. With stud defensive tackle Aaron Donald retired, the Rams now rank 27th in expected points added (EPA) allowed per play. They also rank 31st in receiving touchdowns allowed to tight ends (3).

Bowers does not lead the Raiders in red-zone targets. Meyers (5) and Adams (3) are the top two options, although Bowers (3) is technically tied with the ex-Raider. But with those two guys down for the count, Bowers is by far the most reliable red-zone receiving option for this offense.

The question is whether the Raiders will get to the red zone. I’m not confident in either O’Connell or Minshew, but the good news is that this is all factored into Bowers’ odds. You’ll find him trading at +220 at Fliff and +210 at FanDuel to find paydirt this Sunday. He is a length +243 at Pinnacle, but you’ll also find him at +125 on BetMGM.

Play the longest price you can get and hope the Raiders move the football effectively against a bad defense.

Lions-Vikings Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bet for Week 7

Pick by Danny Burke.

There’s one player in particular who I imagine will be extremely eager to face the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday. That player is Amon-Ra St. Brown.

St. Brown feasted against the Vikings last season. In their first meeting, he caught 12 passes for 106 yards and one touchdown. When they met a couple of weeks later, he topped that performance with 144 yards on seven receptions and one touchdown.

What makes this matchup special for him this season, though? Well, for starters, St. Brown has hauled in a receiving touchdown in his last three games. Also, the Vikings have surrendered five receiving touchdowns over the course of their past two contests.

When it comes to the red zone, Goff doesn’t trust anyone more than St. Brown. Inside 20 yards, St. Brown has been targeted nine times and has caught eight. The next closes target share belongs to Jameson Williams with five.

This matchup is projected to feature a ton of scoring, considering the total is listed over 50, which implies there will be a healthy dose of scoring opportunities. I’d be shocked if St. Brown is not featured in a couple of those situations this Sunday.

Panthers-Commanders Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bet for Week 7

Pick by Isaiah Sirois.

Look, betting on the Carolina Panthers is not fun. This team simply isn’t good. But the good news is that with veteran quarterback Andy Dalton under center from Week 3 forward, Carolina’s offense is a not-terrible 20th in EPA per play. Against an embarrassing Washington defense that ranks 23rd in EPA per play, we should see some points out of Carolina.

If Carolina can get in the red zone, expect wide receiver Diontae Johnson to cook. Coming into Week 7, Johnson led the NFL in red-zone targets with 10 (only two of them went for touchdowns). The next-most-targeted receiving options in Carolina were Chuba Hubbard (4) and Xavier Legette (4). If Johnson can continue to control the red-zone target share, he should score.

It helps that this Washington defense can’t stop opposing wide receivers. Sure, none of Baltimore’s wide receivers scored a touchdown against Washington last week. Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman still combined for 203 receiving yards, and Washington’s defense still ranks 32nd in receiving touchdowns allowed to wideouts (10).

As with most good anytime touchdown bets, this one comes down to price. Pinnacle, a sharp book, is at +145. So is most of the market. Notably, FanDuel is at +165 while Fanatics is at +160. We’re getting a quality odds disparity here, and it’s one well worth exploiting as part of your NFL anytime touchdown betting strategy.
