Jaren Hall O/U 185.5 Passing Yards

With Kirk Cousins out for the season due to an Achilles injury, Jaren Hall is the Vikings’ new starting quarterback. The 25-year old rookie is a fifth-round pick out of BYU and he will be making his first career NFL start.

Due to a lack of data on Hall in the NFL, I would be lying if I said I know what to expect out of him. He’s thrown a total of four passes in his career. With that said, there are clear positives here. Hall has strong targets to throw to in Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson and his passing prop is very low. The game also sets up as a favorable game script for the Vikings to throw the football since they are 3.5-point underdogs on the road.

NFL Week 9 Betting Model Prediction: Jaren Hall Over 185.5 Passing Yards (-120) at PointsBet

Chris Olave O/U 60.6 receiving yards

The Saints are averaging 38 passing attempts per game which ranks as the fifth most of any team in the NFL. This is a number trending up in recent weeks. Derek Carr has thrown 50 or more times in two of the last three games. It is clear that the Saints are okay with games getting determined by their passing attack.

This is why I think Chris Olave should shine. Despite the recent passing volume of the Saints, Olave has remained quiet. This won’t be the case for long and Olave opened the season by averaging over 100 receiving yards in the Saints’ first three games of the season. Olave figures to see positive regression due to the amount of targets that he’s getting. While he isn’t efficient at the moment, Olave has gotten targeted 34 times in the last three games.

NFL Week 9 Betting Model Prediction: Chris Olave Over 60.5 Receiving Yards (-110) at Bet365
