The Packers-Lions game is basically the meat and cheese tray of NFL games on Thanksgiving Day. It’s got some decent goodies on it, but it’s not something you’re OVERLY excited about. It’ll get the job done as a nice appetizer, but it’s far from the main course. But what you can’t do on a meat and cheese tray is bet — unless you’re in my house … we’re TRUE degens. But let’s have a little fun here on Thanksgiving Day with a Packers-Lions same game parlay.
Packers-Lions Same Game Parlay Bet for Thanksgiving
Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 7.5 Receptions (NFL Player Prop)
The apple of baby hands Jared Goff’s eye is —and always has been — Amon-Ra St. Brown. It makes sense, he’s the best receiver the Lions have; though Jahmyr Gibbs is coming in hot.
St. Brown has seen 63 targets over the Lions’ last 5 games, including games of 11, 15 and 19 during that stretch. He’s also hauled in 8 or more balls 4 times during that span.
The Packers just gave up 10 receptions to Keenan Allen, who is great, but I think we’d all agree that St. Brown is a superior receiver at this point of their careers.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 82.5 Receiving Yards (NFL Player Prop)
If we’re taking St. Brown over on receptions, we’re going to correlate it with his receiving yards.
Before last week against the Bears, St. Brown had gone over 100 yards in 4 consecutive games. Overall, the Lions No. 1 receiver has gone over 82.5 yards in 6 of his 9 games this season.
The Packers haven’t really been able to stop a nose bleed — get those cliche jokes ready for Uncle Mike — against actually GOOD receivers. It won’t happen here either.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime Touchdown (NFL Player Prop)
As we know, the Lions funnel most of their targets to St. Brown, and we’re going ALL IN on him here in this Lions-Packers parlay.
He’s gotten 9 end zone targets this season from Goff, and I think he’s got a really strong opportunity to get in the box in this game.
After all, he does have five touchdowns this season, and did find the end zone against the Packers earlier this year. That’s not great analysis, but, the Lions are projected for 27 points. The majority of the time, the passing touchdowns flow through St. Brown.
David Montgomery Anytime Touchdown (NFL Player Prop)
This man is the epitome of a touchdown monster. He’s like fancy LeGarrette Blount from back in the day.
Montgomery also has some #Karma coming his way after we saw him waving Gibbs to stay on the field after ripping off a monster run, and being tackled at the 1. He wanted his guy to get in the box since he earned it.
It only feels right that David Montgomery finds the end zone in a great Thanksgiving Day narrative.
Lions Moneyline (NFL Prick)
The Lions looked a bit shaky against the Bears in Week 11. But, they came roaring — there ya go, Uncle Mike — back to win the game late in the 4th quarter.
It feels like that was the letdown spot for the Lions as they geared up for this game against the Packers.
With it being a short week for both teams, I don’t want to try to mess around with spreads. Let’s just take the Lions to get the job done and book a win for our final leg.
