Raiders-Lions Player Props & Anytime Touchdown Bet for Monday (Oct. 30)

This one could get ugly. The Detroit Lions host the Las Vegas Raiders as 7.5-point favorites with both teams trending in opposite directions. Nonetheless, we have an opportunity to cash in on plenty of bets with talented players on both offenses. Let’s dive into the best Raiders-Lions player prop picks and anytime touchdown scorer bets for Week 8’s edition of Monday Night Football.

Raiders-Lions Player Prop

Jimmy Garoppolo is back under center for the Raiders after missing last week. Who does that benefit? The hope is Davante Adams in a negative game script. The Lions, other than last week, have been known to get out to early leads. They average the third-most points in the first quarter in the league and are coming off being shut out for three quarters against the Ravens. That said, most of the Lions offensive player props are too juiced to play. So we’ll gladly pivot to Adams, who we know is capable of having an offensive masterclass.

Adams has voiced his frustration with the Raiders publicly. He’s not the only veteran who has spoken up about their displeasure. The team had an open meeting with head coach Josh McDaniels in attendance prior to this week. I’m not a “narrative” type of bettor, but this is do-or-die time for the Raiders. McDaniels’ job is on the line, and with the trade deadline looming, players could be on the move. They’re potentially auditioning for a new team.

The last time Adams was in prime time, he erupted. He scored two touchdowns, reeled in 13 catches on 20 targets and accumulated 172 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Those are numbers only top receivers put up. He doesn’t need 172 yards for this bet to cash; 75 yards will do it — a number Adams has hit in three of five games with Garoppolo under center and in three of four losses this season. I’m not saying the Raiders will lose, but they’re facing off against a 5-2 Lions team that can put up points in a hurry. The goal here is for the Lions to jump out to an early lead, which will limit Josh Jacobs in the run game and have Garoppolo target Adams all night long.

This will undoubtedly be the toughest wide receiver the Lions have matched up against this season. D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Adam Thielen all went over their player prop receiving line against the Lions this season. Now, in what many presume to be a negative game script for the Raiders since the Lions will load the box against running back Josh Jacobs, Adams should see his number of targets skyrocket.

Raiders-Lions Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Behind Jacobs, Adams has the lowest odds for a Raiders player to score a touchdown on Monday. That’s normal. What isn’t normal is the price DraftKings is offering Adams to find the end zone. He’s listed at +170 while as low as +124 on Caesars Sportsbook.

Guess who the leader in targets is inside the 20-yard line. If you somehow guessed Adams, who has just two touchdowns this season inside the red zone, you’d be correct. Adams has been targeted 16 times in the red zone and nine times inside the 10. He’s not only a deep ball threat, and he will be targeted if the Raiders can find their way into Lions territory. Sadly, that’s a big if. But at +170 and against a Lions team that has allowed seven touchdowns to wide receivers this season, it’s the best touchdown play in Raiders-Lions on Monday Night Football.
