Rams-Lions Same Game Parlay Bet | Wild Card Sunday
Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 87.5 Receiving Yards (NFL Player Prop)
The Detroit Lions are dealing with a plethora of injuries on the offensive side of the ball after Dan Campbell decided to run the starters in Week 18 since they had a slight chance to grab the No. 2 seed. Phenom rookie tight end Sam Laporta is a game-time decision, while wideout Kalif Raymond will be sidelined. These injuries leave Amon-Ra St. Brown to do the heavy lifting on Sunday Night — which he is more than accustomed to.
St. Brown was awarded All-Pro honors this week, and deservedly so. He’s averaging 95 yards per game and had the fifth-most targets in the NFL. If Jared Goff has time in the pocket, St. Brown will be Goff’s first look.
Matthew Stafford Over 275.5 Passing Yards (NFL Player Prop)
It’s no secret that I’m all over Matthew Stafford’s props in his return to Detroit. My top player prop bet is Stafford to have more passing yards than Goff. So naturally, I’m adding Stafford’s passing yards prop to our parlay.
The Rams run game has been at the top of the league, with Kyren Williams running wild this season. He’s averaging 23 rush attempts in his last five games, with the last three coming against the Commanders, Saints and Giants — bottom-of-the-league teams. I don’t see him getting that workload against a stout Lions run defense. This opens up Stafford to sling the ball all over the field against a Lions secondary that has allowed three straight 300-yard passers.
OddsShopper’s tools have helped us find the best line for Stafford’s passing yards. FanDuel has this prop at 275.5, while the rest of the major market has it set 4 yards higher.
Puka Nacua Over 5.5 Receptions (NFL Player Prop)
The story of Puka Nacua has been at the top of the NFL list this season. He’s revitalized Stafford’s career after the quarterback played just 10 games last season due to injuries. Cooper Kupp starting the season on the IR lifted Nacua into the spotlight, and he hasn’t looked back since. He’s been targeted the sixth most of any player in the league, and FanDuel is gifting us this line that should be at 6.5 like the rest of the books have it listed at.
I spoke above about the Lions secondary troubles, and this game projecting to be high scoring. If Williams can’t get going in the run game, look for Stafford to look Nacua’s way early and often, as he’s done all season long with his 9.4 targets per game.
