There is nothing better than ending four days of football and a Christmas Day triple-header with the game of the year. Two of the best teams in the league will represent their respective conferences; the San Francisco 49ers are looking to stay atop the NFC, as are the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC. Jackson does just fine in this role as a road dog of 6 or fewer points playing out of conference. In fact, he’s 18-1 straight up against the NFC and 12-2-1 against the spread when not favored. He thrives as a dog, especially in games that shouldn’t matter as much versus games against AFC opponents. He’s the lynchpin here, the reason the Ravens have every chance of covering this 6-point line. The Ravens are 5-0-1 against the spread last six Monday Night Football games, and nobody gives them a better chance at covering than Jackson on the ground.
The 49ers have a fierce pass rush that should give Jackson some lanes to run. Be it escape routes or planned attacks, the Ravens will ensure Jackson carries the football upwards to 15 times. He will be the leading rusher, even out of necessity, stretching drives against a solid secondary. That gives the Ravens an extra weapon than just traditional runs to help open the passing game.

Christian McCaffrey 125+ Rushing + Receiving Yards (NFL Alt Player Prop)

No matter what result comes down, the variable of McCaffrey being involved will be constant. Brock Purdy has found Deebo Samuel and others plenty to establish a deadly pass game, but even that is impacted by their star running back. McCaffrey is the best rusher in the game and arguably the best receiver too. He will be heavily involved on multiple levels, especially if the 49ers are playing from behind.
Baltimore is struggling to slow down running backs both on the ground and in the screen game. The 49ers love getting McCaffrey the ball as fast as possible, including plenty of horizontal throws. Quick throws are the same as runs here, and the better play is to capture both rushing and receiving yards. Kyle Shanahan is going to need McCaffrey on the ground to establish and secure the lead — or throw, throw, throw if behind.

There are two ways to go with this final prop, but the safer way relies on one team to get it done. By going over the game total, there’s an expectation that both teams will trade blows, getting close to a track meet. Both teams certainly have big play capability, even if it’s catch-and-run plays by the 49ers or a broken run by Jackson. The easier pathway is taking the 49ers to score 28 points, something they’ve done all but one time this year at home.
Baltimore is OK in keeping up with the 49ers, but it’s going to come in the form of offense. Baltimore does great against the pass — eighth overall in opposing passing yards per game — but the 49ers aren’t going to rely just on chunk plays. In fact, expect quite the opposite with more quick throws to Samuel, McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle. Those guys should do the hard work and ensure the 49ers keep putting up points at home.
