Best Eagles-Chiefs Receiving Props: A.J. Brown Takes the Top Off

Two of the top-pass catching units go head-to-head in the Super Bowl. A.J. Brown and Travis Kelce were in the top 10 in receiving yards and touchdowns during the regular season but had different performances in the Conference Championship Games. The Chiefs will be healthy at the wide receiver position and gives bettors an opportunity to fade speedster Justin Watson. Let’s look ahead to the best Eagles-Chiefs receiving props for Super Bowl 57.

Best Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl Receiving Props

A.J. Brown Player Prop: O/U 25.5 Yards Longest Reception

The Eagles acquired Brown with a vision that he’d help Jalen Hurts reach new heights and eventually lead the Eagles offense to another Super Bowl. He accomplished the first one as Hurts was an MVP candidate this season and will sign a massive extension this offseason. Brown has been quiet during the postseason thus far but is one of the most pulverizing receivers in football and will give the Chiefs cornerbacks Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson all they can handle. Watson was on an island during the AFC Championship game. He allowed both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to catch critical deep balls that led to Bengals touchdowns.

Brown and Hurts failed to connect on a presumed long touchdown in the NFC Championship due to a Hurts overthrow. But the two have unmatched chemistry, and Hurts will trust Brown on multiple occasions come Sunday, especially against rookie defensive backs. Brown has caught a pass of over 26 yards in 12 of 19 games this season and ranks in the top 10 in yards per catch (over 16). He has six 40-yard catches this season and is a candidate to take the top off of any defense.

Justin Watson Player Prop: O/U 14.5 Receiving Yards

Watson is not a well-known commodity around the NFL, but he has blazing speed and gives the Chiefs a deep ball threat with Patrick Mahomes’ rocket arm. Watson missed the AFC Championship Game due to an illness but is a full go for the Super Bowl. Without Watson, wide receivers Skyy Moore and Marcus Kemp stepped up and played 30% of the offensive snaps. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kadarius Toney are primed to have bigger roles than they did two weeks ago, and like Mahomes, they are back at full strength.

The Chiefs have too many weapons for Watson to see 50% of the snaps like he did in the Divisional Round against the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he caught his only target for 12 yards. The Eagles have a top pass rush that will limit Mahomes’ ability to look deep, and the result will be more targets Kelce and Smith-Schuster.

Best Eagles-Chiefs Receiving Prop Bet: Justin Watson Under 14.5 Receiving Yards -115 (DraftKings)
