Tee Higgins Injury Update: Is Cincinnati’s Star Playing Sunday?

Tee Higgins Injury Update

Latest Tee Higgins Injury Update (October 15 9:32 AM): The star WR is expected to play.

The Cincinnati Bengals didn’t have Tee Higgins last week due to his rib injury, and Ja’Marr Chase went off for three scores in his absence. But Higgins is trending in the right direction — he was a non-participant in practice until Friday last week, but he got in limited reps on both Wednesday and Thursday before practicing fully on Friday this week.

Almost all the news about Higgins this week has been encouraging. On Wednesday, Higgins said that things were looking “promising” as far as his return goes. To be fair, head coach Zac Taylor still gave Higgins a questionable tag and called him a game-time decision, but the star wideout is on the right side of questionable for sure.

Is Tee Higgins Playing for Cincinnati in Week 6?

So is Tee Higgins playing for Cincinnati in Week 6? It’s unclear — he’ll be a game-time call — so you’ll have to keep a close eye on Twitter as kickoff approaches. Still, the fact he logged a full practice session on Friday and is “itching” to play suggests that he is doing everything he can to get Taylor to give him the green light.

If Higgins returns, he’ll be back just in time to face a Seattle Seahawks defense in Cincinnati. If he can’t go, expect the Bengals to lean heavily on Ja’Marr Chase again, although Tyler Boyd should see plenty of targets with Seattle still missing slot cornerback Coby Bryant.
