The Saturday NFL action begins in Baltimore as one of the most special rookie seasons by a QB comes face to face with the league’s number 1 scoring defense. No biggie for CJ Stroud who has taken the NFL by storm this year. His counterpart is the shoe-in to win the MVP, so pressure keeps mounting on the shoulders of Lamar Jackson. With two dynamic players at QB, this game might actually come down to defense. Here’s our favorite Texans-Ravens same-game parlay picks.

Steelers-Bills Same-Game Parlay Picks
Leg 1. Texans +3.5 1Q (NFL Betting Pick)
Both games on Saturday feature large spreads at 9.5 points, as Houston must strike first or early to stay in this game. The Ravens defense is like a running back getting stronger as the game goes, giving into possible turnovers or even worse, points off those turnovers. Stroud shouldn’t be in line to throw multiple pick-6s but there will be mounting pressure if Houston falls behind early. They won’t. The Texans have no problem establishing an early run game, and while they are down some receivers, Nico Collins still has a big play in him.
Houston also comes off a big win last week, riding plenty of momentum. The Ravens sat guys in Week 18 and were off in the wild card round, so there’s an expected amount of immediate rust. That’s not to say Baltimore can’t win this game by 30, they certainly can, but the best and only place for Houston to keep this competitive is in the first quarter.
We get the hook here as both teams may simply be feeling out the game flow. Both defenses are good enough to keep this first quarter low scoring which only helps the Texans.
Leg 2. Nico Collins U 78.5 Receiving Yards (NFL Player Prop)
The Texans are down both Tank Dell and Noah Brown, leaving Nico Collins as the lone receiving threat. While he still has an x play in him, going up against Baltimore’s defense short-handed is not ideal. The Ravens can add extra help on top of Collins, limiting his ability to get down field.
Receiving yards in a situation like this, against a defense like the Ravens, is a volume play. Stroud is most likely going to have to throw a bunch, but that’s also not ideal against a pass rush pinning its ears back. Just because Stroud throws more today doesn’t equate to the ball getting to Collins. In fact, it might be the opposite.
Houston will most likely work him in early, but those will be shorter passes aimed at just establishing Collins with the football. The bigger issue comes when the Ravens get ahead, and start to break through that Texans offensive line.
Stroud wants to get Collins the ball, deep down field to make a strike. But the overwhelming problem today will be whether he has the time to throw. Six or seven quick hit passes to Collins isn’t getting over this number.
Leg 3. Gus Edwards Anytime TD (NFL Player Prop)
Dalvin Cook is active in the backfield and people are going crazy as to what to do here. Two things; Gus Edwards is still the lead back especially around the goal line and Cook isn’t here fresh off another 1000 yard season. It’s hard to think the Ravens, as well coached as they are, come in with a game plan that evenly splits carries between the two backs – no matter what’s being said. The simplest solution here to the Ravens running game is a heavier dose of Edwards.
Lamar Jackson will also take some carries in this crowded backfield. But that won’t take away from Edwards ability to score. He’s actually live to score twice in this game. The Ravens have big plays on the ground too, but they can work Edwards in goal line and red zone situations. Edwards didn’t score in his last game against the Steelers, but did notch a TD in each of the three games prior. He scores today.
