Anthony Richardson NFL Draft Odds Spike Following NFL Combine
Per BetMGM, Anthony Richardson (+350) is behind just Bryce Young (-185) to become the first overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft. He is now ahead of quarterbacks C.J. Stroud (+450) and Will Levis (+1100). Richardson opened at a heavy underdog (+10000).
On Saturday, Richardson showed out at the combine, tying Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields with a 4.44 40-yard dash. He followed that feat by setting the QB record for a vertical jump at 40.5 inches.
Richardson started every game for the 6-6 Florida Gators last season and struggled with some accuracy issues. He completed just 53.8% of his passes for 2,549 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
“I can definitely get better at delivering the ball and helping my guys out,” Richardson said, per 247 Sports. “But I can’t also catch every pass. If I could, I would definitely. It’s just helping guys out and helping guys help me. My completion percentage, some people would say it is not great. I don’t think it’s great either, but it’s just growing as a quarterback. Not every year is gonna be your best year. I definitely learned a lot from last season.”
If Richardson can iron out some of the passing issues and become a consistent thrower of the football, he can be one of the most dynamic quarterbacks at the next level. Selecting the Florida product might be a high-risk, high-reward proposition, but the latest Anthony Richardson NFL Draft odds show his upside is simply too good for teams with an early pick not to consider.
