Super Bowl LVII Bets: First $1 Million Bet Comes In
According to BetMGM, one bettor put a hefty $1 million on the Philadelphia Eagles to beat the Kansas City Chiefs at -125, opting not to lay the 1.5 points. The Eagles have been the betting favorites over the Chiefs since the Super Bowl LVII betting line opened, but the line has fallen from three points in the early stages.
The Eagles and their bettors have every reason to be confident heading into next Sunday’s game. Philadelphia has blown out its two playoff opponents after earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a dominant showing in the regular season. The Eagles beat the San Francisco 49ers handily, 31-7, in the NFC Championship to set up a date with the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. However, they’ll face their toughest test to date next Sunday.

“Obviously, they’ve been really good for a long time, great organization,” head coach Nick Sirianni said, per the team’s website. “Coach Reid is a great coach, and (Kansas City quarterback) Patrick Mahomes is one of the best players in the world, (Kansas City tight end) Travis Kelce, (Kansas City defensive tackle) Chris Jones. They have good players everywhere, and really good coaching.
“We’re just in our early stages of studying them, having a couple weeks here. Yesterday (Monday) was more of a review of the game day and doing some of the logistics things and then with everything, but then today, we’re in our early stages of studying the Chiefs, and that’s where we are right now. But really good team, obviously, as you would expect, as they’re in the Super Bowl.”
Plenty of the Super Bowl LVII bets are yet to trickle in, but the early bettors have gone big on the Eagles as they look to cap their impressive season by taking home the ultimate prize. The bettor with $1 million on the Eagles moneyline certainly will hope they can.
