The incredible run of difficult to watch primetime game continues right into the start of Week 9. Pittsburgh plays host to this one as they try and slow down the Will Levis hype machine, as Mike Tomlin has QB issues with a banged up Kenny Pickett. The first TD bet is a tricky one as most teams have an identified go-to player, especially in the red zone. Those players are typically priced accordingly so finding a deeper yet still realistic option is the sweet spot. It’s the quickest – most times – sweat in the NFL, here are the best Titans-Steelers first touchdown bets for Thursday Night Football, November, 2nd!

Tennessee Titans First Touchdown Scorer
Beginners luck? Will Levis is out to prove it’s quite the opposite. While Levis isn’t expected to throw four TDs for the second straight week – especially on a short week, on the road, against the Steelers defense. But that’s still a better position to be than the Steelers QB room heading into this game. Kenny Pickett is not on the injury report and will start tonight but is clearly playing through an injury. The Titans are going to want to score first with extra motivation.
While Derrick Henry is the chalkiest of them all, there’s great value on a guy who is poised for a breakout game. Levis is still establishing connections with receivers – including the super talented tight end. The Steelers are planning on bringing all the pressure on this young kid to force bad decisions. It’s actually going to work in Chigoziem Okonkwo’s favor more than anyone else, as he should see a healthy amount of targets – red zone included.
The Titans will be able to move the ball between Henry and quick throws by Levis. It’s just ridiculous that Okonkwo’s number is 20-1 for a guy who targeted just one fewer time than Deandre Hopkins in Levis’ debut. Jump at this now for a .25u.
Titans-Steelers First Touchdown Scorer Bet: Chigoziem Okonkwo +2000 (BetMGM, 0.25 Units)
Pittsburgh Steelers First Touchdown Scorer
There’s a theme here. Not just in the column but on the field with these two quarterbacks. Two means to the same end; both of these guys need to get the ball out as fast as possible. Both defenses are bringing heat and it’s safe to say – even with Matt Canada involved in this conversation – that both teams are plenty aware of the inevitable pressure coming to their quarterbacks.
Pickett is going to have some quick options based on scaled down routes and quicker throws to backs and tight ends. It doesn’t take out any receiver from the game, rather highlights some great value on a receiving back like Jaylen Warren. A little on the longer side, Warren sits at 10-1 for the first TD but should see increased looks simply out of Pickett and self-preservation. Warren also has some big play capability with the ball, so don’t be shocked if you see this cash on a 20-yard grab.
Titans-Steelers First Touchdown Bet: Jaylen Warren +1000 (PointsBet, 0.25 Units)
