Tyler Huntley vs. Kenny Pickett: Who Has More Fantasy Football, DFS Value for SNF?

The bitter Pittsburgh SteelersBaltimore Ravens rivalry takes center stage on Sunday Night Football in NFL Week 17. The Steelers are hoping rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett can continue his development, while the Ravens are forced to go with backup Tyler Huntley for a fourth consecutive week with Lamar Jackson still out with a knee injury. Ahead of the game, let’s take a look at the Tyler HuntleyKenny Pickett fantasy football and DFS rankings and see who has more value.

Tyler HuntleyKenny Pickett Fantasy Football and DFS Ranking

Per the Stokastic weekly fantasy football rankings, Tyler Huntley (No. 19) ranks slightly better than Kenny Pickett (No. 24), but neither projects as an overly strong play in fantasy football. Using the free player compare tool, Huntley projects to 15.00 fantasy points, while Pickett projects to 13.98.

The choice of Pickett or Huntley likely means more on the DFS showdown slate. Stokastic models project Huntley ($9,400 on DraftKings) ranked as the slightly better play over Picket ($9,200). If you’re a DFS player seeking an edge, Stokastic is offering a free three-day trial for those looking to catch a glimpse of what the tools have to offer.

Pickett has had an up-and-down rookie season, throwing for 2,041 yards in 10 games, with five touchdowns and nine interceptions. But he’s been limiting the turnovers better of late and is coming off leading the Steelers on a game-winning touchdown drive against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16.

Huntley’s running ability makes him a potentially valuable play in fantasy formats. He has just 528 yards passing and one touchdown in four games, but has 113 rushing yards and one touchdown on 36 attempts. After Huntley completed just 11 of 17 passes for 104 yards in Week 14 against the Steelers, look for him to use his legs a little bit more Sunday night.

Don’t expect a massive performance from either Tyler Huntley or Kenny Pickett in prime time, but if you’re choosing between the two for fantasy football or DFS, go with Huntley.
