The 2023 Super Bowl odds have taken a drastic turn following the Cincinnati Bengals’ upset win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon. The Bengals came into the game as a long shot at +1200 to take home the Lombardi Trophy. But they’re now surging up the board after booking their ticket to the AFC Championship for the second consecutive year.

2023 Super Bowl Odds: Here Come the Bengals
Per BetMGM, the Bengals (+275) are behind just the Kansas City Chiefs (+250) as the favorites to win the 2023 Super Bowl. They’re followed by the Philadelphia Eagles (+300), San Francisco 49ers (+400) and Dallas Cowboys (+900). Cincinnati opened as a slight 2-point underdog against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game next Sunday.
The Bengals used an impressive defensive performance to beat the Bills 27-10, and sure looked like a team that has all the tools to win their first Super Bowl.
Quarterback Joe Burrow completed his first nine passes for 105 yards, leading the Bengals to a 14-0 lead after two possessions. The quick deficit proved to be too tall of a mountain for the Bills to climb, now losing in the Divisional Round in back-to-back seasons.
The Chiefs lost 27-24 in OT to the Bengals in last year’s AFC Championship. They’ll now get their shot at redemption, although the main concern remains with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who suffered a high ankle sprain in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday. He’s reportedly planning to play in the AFC Championship even after limping throughout the game Saturday.
“It feels better than I thought it was going to be now,” Mahomes said, per ESPN. “Obviously, I have a lot of adrenaline going right now, so we’ll see how it feels. But I’ll hop right in the treatment and try to do whatever I can to be as close to 100 percent by next week. Luckily for us, we played the early game on Saturday, so we get an extra almost half a day that I can let that ankle rest.”
It’ll likely be Joe Burrow vs. Patrick Mahomes once again this Sunday, and whoever wins will certainly take over as the favorite in the 2023 Super Bowl odds.
