Vikings-Bears Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bet for Monday Night Football
Picks by Danny Burke
The last time the Vikings and Bears faced off, Aaron Jones delivered a monster performance: 22 carries, 106 yards, and a touchdown.
In that first meeting, I cashed in on a bet for Jones to score a touchdown, and I’m heading back to the well for round two.
The Bears have struggled mightily against the run, allowing 4.8 yards per carry to opposing running backs and ranking 27th in rush EPA per play allowed. They’ve also surrendered an average of 1.2 rushing touchdowns per game, totaling 13 to running backs this season.
While firing Matt Eberflus was the right call for Chicago, it came with consequences. Eberflus was a solid defensive coordinator, even if his game management was poor. In the first game after his dismissal, the Bears were gashed on the ground. San Francisco’s starting running back, Isaac Guerendo, ran 15 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns, while backup Patrick Taylor Jr. also found the end zone.
Jones has found the end zone six times this season. Against a familiar opponent that he, and other running backs, consistently dominate, don’t be surprised if he adds a seventh to his tally tonight.
