Per DraftKings, the Rangers’ Stanley Cup odds have moved up with the Patrick Kane rumors lurking in the news cycle. They were listed at 20-1 a couple of weeks ago. Those odds jumped after they acquired veteran Vladimir Tarasenko in a trade. The Rangers now sit at just 14-1 to win the Stanley Cup.

Despite the reports, Kane’s camp is claiming that he has yet to make a decision on his future.

“Patrick hasn’t made any decision at this point,” Kane’s agent told NHL insider Pierre LeBrun in response to the latest reports linking his client to the Rangers.

It appeared that the Rangers had moved on from their Kane interest, opting to acquire Tarasenko in a move just after the NHL All-Star Game. Kane admitted he was a little bit let down when the Rangers decided on Tarasenko.

“It’s not like the happiest I’ve been to hear about a trade,” Kane said, per NBC Sports Chicago. “I think the Rangers are a team that you definitely pay attention to and definitely are intrigued by, for obvious reasons.”

Kane has a full no-trade clause in his Blackhawks contract but has said the Rangers are one team he was monitoring ahead of the deadline.

“If things were going to happen, that was a team I was definitely looking at,” Kane said. “It seems like they kind of filled their void and went ahead and made a deal, so it is what it is.”

Perhaps Kane’s latest hot streak has changed the Rangers’ mind regarding a potential move. The Blackhawks’ wing has scored seven goals in his last four games, including two in the comeback win over the Las Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday night.

There is still no telling whether or not there is an impending move involving Patrick Kane, but based on the latest Stanley Cup championship odds, the Rangers could have some more moves up their sleeves ahead of the deadline.
