Tiger Woods Genesis Invitational Odds Revealed

DraftKings Sportsbook listed the Tiger Woods odds on Friday afternoon, with the 47-year-old checking in as a long shot at +10000. Woods is the only player currently listed on the board for next weekend’s tournament.

The Genesis Invitational will mark the first time Woods competes in a PGA Tour event since he missed the cut at last year’s PGA Championship at St. Andrews. It’s the first time he’ll compete in a non-major since the 2020 Zozo Championship.

“I’m ready to play an ACTUAL PGA Tour event next week @thegenesisinv,” Woods tweeted on Friday morning.

Woods teamed up with Rory McIlroy to play against Justin Thomas and Jordon Spieth in “The Match” in December, also playing with his son, Charlie, in the PNC Championship a couple of weeks later. He was using a cart to help aid his surgically repaired leg in both of those events.

“It’s been a lot harder than people probably imagine,” Woods said of his recovery, per ESPN. “There’s some of the players who are very close to me know what I’ve kind of gone through, and they’re the ones that keep encouraging me to back off a little bit. But that’s not really in my nature. My nature is trying to get better. And I have. And through work ethic, I was able to, as I said, play and compete in three major championships this year.

“And this offseason hasn’t really been an offseason. … As you’ve seen, I can hit golf balls. I can do all that. I can practice at home. I can hit shots around the green. I can do all that. I just can’t get from point A to point B.”

The Tiger Woods Genesis Invitational odds show his current unfamiliar status as a heavy underdog when competing against the likes of John Rahm, Colin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele — who have all committed to the event. Still, bettors will likely flock to ride the GOAT in his return to the course, and the entire sports world will be watching when Tiger tees it up next Thursday.
