Saturday’s Women’s World Cup slate features three matches across Groups F and G. Sweden-Italy and Brazil-France are the standout contests, and below we will provide the best Women’s World Cup bets for those matches.
As of right now, Sweden and Italy are both atop Group G, level on points and goal differential after respective 2-1 and 1-0 victories in the first round. Their counterparts, South Africa and Argentina, drew with each other on Friday, making their likelihoods of qualification even lower. However, there is still a lot to play for between Sweden and Italy, as the winner of Group G will most likely avoid the United States in the Round of 16.
Conversely, all four teams in Group F also play on Saturday, so expect this group to shake up quite a bit. Brazil was the only team to be victorious on Matchday 1 but now faces its toughest test of the group in France. The French are in a precarious situation because, if they lose or draw and either Jamaica or Panama win, they will go bottom of the group — not great for a team that had the fifth-best odds (+1000) to win the entire tournament.

Sweden-Italy Prediction
Sweden is always different gravy at the Women’s World Cup. It has qualified from its group in seven of eight completed World Cups, with three third-place finishes and a final appearance to boot. If it can win the group and avoid the USA, at least until the semifinals, Peter Gerhardsson’s team can go far.
And while its first match against South Africa was not perfect by any means, it showed this team’s grit. It fought back from a 1-0 deficit in the second half and flipped the scoreline thanks to goals from Fridolina Rolfo and Amanda Ilestedt. If the match said anything, it was more so how positive the South African women were, as they surely surprised many with their play so far. The match also builds on an impressive run of form for the Swedes, going 6-2-2 in their last 10 across all competitions.
For those who say Sweden should have won by more, Italy also pushed it to the final whistle against Argentina. In fact, it took 87 minutes for the Italians to break the deadlock, courtesy of a bullying header from Cristiana Girelli. While Italy too is on an impressive run of six consecutive victories, it may not be able to get it over the line against the creme de la creme of women’s football. Nonetheless, it should be able to keep it close and the scoreline small, thanks to a defense that has kept five clean sheets over that same six-game run.
From a betting perspective, fading both teams to score at -135 is a solid play. This is definitely a bit juicy, but it is the only way to get some value by fading the total. Moreover, it provides the chance of recovery should the Sweden moneyline fail, and that bet is tough to pass up on at -120. It feels like the first time in this group stage there have been sane moneyline odds, and Sweden is a great team to dive back in on.
Final Sweden-Italy Prediction: Sweden Moneyline (-120, DraftKings)
No on Both Teams to Score (-135, DraftKings)

France-Brazil Prediction
France-Brazil is going to be an absolute spectacle for viewers. These countries came into the tournament as top-10 favorites, and rightfully so. Pia Sundhage’s Brazil proved its value on Matchday 1 by absolutely trouncing Panama 4-0 in one of the biggest victories so far at the tournament. Aly Borges dropped a stunning hat trick and was helped out by Bia Zaneratto to make it four. Marta even made an appearance off the bench in her sixth Women’s World Cup — an absolutely incredible feat. As always, Brazil is fun, and it begs the question of not how good it is, but how far it can go.
France is a bit hard because it has already stumbled at the hands of Jamaica. Moreover, it will be without captain Wendie Renard for the rest of the group stage, as she was forced out with a minor injury. This is in addition to the already significant absences of Delphine Cascarino and Marie-Antoinette Katoto. However, it has a remarkable record against the Brazilians, with three consecutive head-to-head victories.
Brazil should be favored, but keep France’s success in mind. In turn, the Brazil draw no bet is a great option at -110. Should France earn a draw, this bet will push, making it not as bad of a loss. On top of that, over 2.5 total goals is a good play despite this being an under-heavy tournament. In Brazil’s last 15 matches, 10 have surpassed this total, and it has great value at +125.
Final France-Brazil Prediction: Brazil Draw No Bet (-110, DraftKings)
Over 2.5 Total Goals (+125, DraftKings)
